HSN Fashion MODELS
1. There are Way Too many of them.
2. Why are they there? .. If they nor the host can tell any information about the size they are wearing.
3. There are Way Too many of them.
There are time recently that it looks like overkill to me, but I do like seeing maybe 4-6 different outfits on models. Does give me a better range of ideas on how to wear something.
The average height of a woman in the U.S. Is 5’5" average weight is 166. I’m your model!!! I’ll bet I’m the average age of the hsn consumer too 58. Slightly frumpy looking (meaning just a bit out of shape) so putting together the correct outfit is almost a science. There needs to be more models based on the average woman. Forget the designers pride of how they want their clothes portrayed, not many of us look like the model Carol. It would sure save on shipping and exchanges. So, just let me know when I’m hired as a model and I’ll find an agent :womanvery-happy:
I think I know what the OP is referring to for I saw several models on the set at one time yesterday as I just tuned in to HSN. I was adding up in my head the cost of paying for all of those people. Also, there were so many models, I could only quickly scan their many outfits and never did figure out what exact brand it was they were promoting. It could have been Iman, but I’m not sure about that.
It is good that they have models in all shapes and sizes, but one or two at a time is most appropriate so we can get a good look at the clothes they’re wearing.
Models should also be there to give an impression or indication of Size and Fit.
No they are not and should not be spokespersons, but someone should periodically give Sizes. In the past (and on other channels) the hosts have asked models what size they were modeling. … hence; I said the model OR the host.
I like HSN models and have frequenly stated such. I do believe there are Too Many of them bundled up on the set at one time.
The models are just that…models! They are there to model the product, nothing more.
It is up to the host and the vendor to give the details of the product.
They are there to model the clothes, jewelry, or whatever. They ARE NOT there to be spokespersons for the brand… THAT’s the job of the host/hostess and vendor.
Personally, I like the models on HSN… they come in all shapes and sizes… and, when it comes to clothing, I like seeing ALL the variety of colours, patterns, etc. of an outfit modeled.
