Well, gang – I think I am officially cursed. Received the one piece that I was most looking forward to from the TGE today. From the 1 designer on HSN who has never let me down quality-wise. And it’s missing a stone. This ring is absolutely gorgeous and, of course, sold out, so no chance of a replacement – I will just have to return it. My heart is simply broken. Why, HSN, WHY???? I have returned more items in the past couple of months than I have during the last 10 years combined. I honestly worry I’m going to get my account cancelled, I have made so many returns. And ALL of them your fault.
WHERE are your quality control inspectors???????
You could get the stone replaced at a local jeweler. Probably wouldn’t cost you more than $10.00. Then talk to HSN about giving you $10.00 in spendable cash to compensate. They may do it. Either way, you would be able to keep the ring.
By your title before I read it, I thought your poor dog had died or something….Geez!
My heart breaks for YOU… That’s Stunning!! Please don’t give up, there are several parties involved, HSN, VW, and 2 companies that have to oversee them both. I have a Novena for You, and My warmest prayers, we sometimes find something that’s so Special and means more to us than money back. Don’t give up, contact, BOTH COMPANIES, Reputations are on the line here, and a I would not give up, I would even contact the BB, and Shame on You TV News. It’s a Statement that will stop people from purchasing on their Apps, on TV, and put more retail in the stores. People who care, need work, if they CARE One Heartbeat for their Reputation They Will Make Sure Definitely, they can solve this for you, I wear my heart on my sleeve, don’t say Yes to $$ back, Say I Want What I Purchased, please. All my Prayers going up for You.. Please keep us informed, too many adore You and Love You, xoxox I pray you have tears of Joy, very soon!! xoxox tof
I would be more heart broken if I lost a finger.
Fabulous ring though, I can see why you’re heartbroken, I would be too :smileysad:
sorry to hear. AArghhh! not your fault, that’s frustrating. The return formula is based on averages, just order no brainer things for awhile that you know youll need and keep.
I actually just sent back a brand new HP PC directly from HP. The battery kept falling out, ouch!
So sorry that all of these things have been happening, especially with the latest piece you were looking forward to. Frankly I think it is inexcusable for a company to ship damaged/defective items but especially one that charges such exorbitant (and cumulative) shipping fees! One would think these charges would guarantee quality control. I think it is a shame- there are so many gorgeous jewelry pieces and, more importantly for a business, eager customers. They should take it seriously. If I read even one review from a line I am interested in that states something broke unexpectedly or was damaged upon arrival, I’m hesitant to buy that item- it isn’t a deal if it doesn’t last that long. It must be surprising for you as well because it is from a designer you trusted who prides herself on good design. It isn’t enough for designs to look appealing, quality is an absolute must. The hosts are constantly proclaiming that the jewelry here is superior to jewelry purchased anywhere else and that you should just get it home- unconditional guarantees- well when things arrive damaged it is frustrating and the returns process takes forever (especially getting your account credited). More quality control saves everyone time and builds trust between the customer and the vendor; we want to love what we receive- we just need to receive it in its intended condition first!
Well…it looks like there is no way that I will be able to get VW to repair my ring. Apparently she offers no warranty, which is why the Protection Plus is offered on her items. Which I could understand if *I* did something to damage the ring, but for it to have arrived defective??? There really should be some way to make HSN repair it. Unfortunately, it looks like there isn’t. And as the "partial refund" they were *kind* enough to offer is not enough to cover the cost of having my jeweler fix it, it looks like I will be forced to return it after all. And I have moved from heartbroken to rather enraged. There should be some way that HSN could MAKE THIS RIGHT!!! *sigh* But, there I go again, expecting a company to stand behind their products and get it right the first time.
I don’t understand why I just can’t get past it this time. Usually in cases such as this I get a little irritated, do a little swearing, pack it back up, mail it off, and get over it. You would think I would be far more upset about the $400 bashed to bits bracelet I returned a couple of weeks ago. Or the earrings I was supposed to receive on February 10th that never arrived – and are also now sold out – but I’m not. I guess it’s just a combination of things. 1) I always trusted in and defended VW’s quality and never expected something like this from her. 2) There have been a rash of defective products sent my way recently. 3) I really, *really* love and wanted this ring as amethyst is my husband’s birthstone and this design (and the stones) were something special. In my heart of hearts, I still feel like HSN should JUST FIX THE BLANKING THING!!! It irritates the living snot out of me that there are 99 other women out there who received an absolutely perfect version of this ring and I got the dud. Yes, it happens. And I know, no one’s perfect. But still. I want my ring!!! </end rant> :catmad:
You should try to contact Victoria Wieck.HSN should be able to provide the information you need. She should replace the stone/repair the ring free of charge for you. It’s her product & she should stand behind it. It’s not like you have been wearing the ring for a few years… And when I say free.. I mean free shipping too !
Does she have a blog on the HSN site ? Or a Facebook official page (with the blue checkmark).
HSN has a facebook page too…post your picture there & ask for help !
Seanchai! Dang dang….I’m canceling our vegas trip until ur luck turns….haha.
Seriously tho……So sorry your treasure arrived less than perfect. I was so sad a few weeks ago when a couple of my millie stalks came with stones dancing around in the box, not in the earrings. I sent them back right away. Now I regret that. The loose and missing stones were not the important ones. I could have easily had them repaired. Looking back, the deal I got on them made that option ok.
Every item we buy should arrive perfect. Thankfully 99.9% of mine does.
I need to apply to head HSN’s quality dept for jewelry. All jewelry returns would also flow through my dept. I’m expensive but worth it! I know how to find all the issues……my employees would get a bonus for every problem they found! money talks.
HSN- KIM- Thanks for the love. OUR SEANCHAI IS OUR JEWELRY GIRL. Without her we would have no idea about quality as well as the history of the Jewels offered at HSN .
Again KIM thank you, BB
At the time of this post there are 22 replies to your sorrow and not one of them is from HSN! Where’s the love?
Awww so sorry Seanchai. I hope you can get a replacement.
Sean . you really have had a time . Can you possibly have it repaired ? It is a beauty. Just have HSN know your situation or a MODERATOR here who knows your spending and contribution to our Jewelry mavens. THE PHOTO SAY’S ALOT IN YOUR FAVOR.
I would keep it,. Being a sold out ring, I am so sorry for you.
What pretty ring. I’m sure you are highly disappointed. My wife Kathy tried to order the same ring but waited too long and it was sold out. Lucky for her. From what I read in the forum quality control at HSN is not only lacking with jewelry but in other areas too. One would hope the people that manage this site pick up on it and changes are made to make our shopping experiences more enjoyable in the future. In the mean time I hope your problem gets resolved……Ronnie
