Finally, a cotton shirt for the everyday woman
Ladies, you kept asking for cotton and you kept asking for everyday. Ta-da! 423-728
massha…..thanks kid! Agi
Complaints complaints complaints! If you don’t want to pay $168 for the shirt for the everyday woman, why don’t you just squeeze yourself into the Missy sizes for only $148!
There, overpricing solved.
And to further temp us everyday women, we have available the: "Powerful" Slouchy Boyfriend Jean for the mere price of $205. I am wondering if it is the price that is supposed to make us feel "Powerful" or the actual garment?
Plus, the jeans have rips at the left knee, and some above the right knee, allowing us to feel "Powerful" and slouchy at the same time.
The next mood available to us for the "change at the bottom of the purse price", is in the "Soulful" Cropped Boyfriend Jean-Impression; for only $188. I don’t quite understand what the naming of any of the jeans signify…
Are we supposed to make a "Soulful" Impression in these Cropped Boyfriend Jeans? Or do we wear them when meeting "Soulful" people while wanting to make an mpression?
And then the name "Cropped Boyfriend Jeans"….do any of you know men who wear "Soulful" Jeans that end about 4-6 inches above their ankles when they want to make an Impression?
Oh, and the jean bottoms do not hug the leg, they are fairly wide, giving the "Soulful" jeans a "hand-me-down" look. Do you think Cookie is aiming for nostalgia rather than "Soulful"?
If any of you are still with me, I decided to present one more (among many others) jean available for those of us who feel the need to enter the room with our knowledge, judgment and experience on view for all to see: The "Wisdom" Ankle Skinny Aqua Over-Dye-Plus jean for $198.
This everyday woman feels that if there is any wisdom to be found in this brand, it all belongs to Ms. Johnson providing she manages to sell one garment at these prices.
I wonder how others of you feel about this line and the prices HSN is presenting to us. I am a mixture of confused, insulted, stunned, sad and especiallywildly amused at the gall of these prices.
This is not one or two special garments, these prices are fairly standard for this brand
I have seen three of her pieces a friend ordered just to see if any of the fuss/pricing was worth it. Not in my opinion, but then I am just an everyday woman who wants to spend her money wisely
Interested to hear what anyone has to say…sorry for the length , and thanks for reading, if you managed to finish!
Even if the shirt gets marked down 75% I would not order it….not my style!
I question the value, and the people who think this is a value, at $168.00. It’s a SHIRT, and not a prticularly special or flattering one; and certainly not for the "everyday woman", unless she’s an upper middle class twit who likes to waste money most of us can’t. Puleese!
Well now I know where all of you were on friday! LOL
$168 for that???? definitely not!!!! I can buy Eddie Bauer or LL Bean for 1/4 of that!!! & I thought I was done laughing for the day when I saw the TSV last night!!! Would someone please advise that small pockets on the back of pants make the booty look huge & the superstretch on the models is squeezing too much in. Those pants should be worn with a long tunic or long tee only. Camel toe is not attractive……
I wonder if HSN started with 8 of these in each of these sizes: 1X, 2X, 3X. Looks like someone bought one in 3X at this price. HSN sets the prices, not the vendor. I wonder how many of these will sell (at this price)? Hmm. Time will tell.
I have no idea why this brand is so expensive.I see nothing special about it.I did a quick google searh and there are a number of stores that sell the brand and they are all priced high.
Zappos, amazon,Nordstrom,Neiman Marcus, and HSN.The only time I purchsed things this expensive is 90% off.
Make sure you measure your bust correctly, so you know whether to order 1X, 2X, or 3X!
Massha, you should post this shirt on the Bargain Alert thread. It’s a must-have (I know this for a fact because it says so in the HSN description) and only $168 with free shipping! Sure, it’s ugly but you can’t have everything.
Yeah there is no way I’d pay more than $20 for something like that.
Recently I was browsing the clothing selection at an upscale department store, just to see what was available. I couldn’t believe they were trying to sell basic plaid button downs and flannel shirts for over $150 each. They weren’t even soft! Price certainly doesn’t always equate to quality.
The Missy Size Blouse is $20 cheaper……
And while we’re at it…
417-695 $188? BUT 399-642 $108?
Yikes! I saw something like this at the goodwill the other day.On sale for about $2
OMG…$168 for…woven draper denim???
I’ve been known to pay a LOT for blouses…but…for a denim shirt that is styled as an ordinary Walmart type blouse??? Pass!
Don’t get me wrong. I’ve found nice things at Walmart too, and if I wanted this same style…wouldn’t have to pay more than $10-15.00.
If I’m spending $168 on a blouse…it had better be finely styled and either a fine cotton, linen…or…silk.
Maybe it is a mis-priced item? :womanfrustrated:
Perhaps it’s just a mistake???? :womanfrustrated:
You all are looking at this wrong. We can easily pool our money and take turns wearing it. then we have to write a letter to the others to tell about our day of wearing the shirt. It would be like the Traveling Pant movie (or whatever it was called) Don’t sweat the small stuff like sizes.. A shirt that costs this much will obviously look good on us all.
