Does The Clothes You Wear Tell What Person You Are
I do not think the clothes you wear tell what person you really are. This my personal opinion:)
LOL at 18 degrees and bundled up from head to toe I think my clothes are telling everyone I’m an Eskimo…Ronnie
I try to look my best and wear fashionable tings that I belive look good on me. DH said it was one of the reasons he was attracted to me over 52 years ago. I still get compliments on my outfits, especially on Sunday when I dress up for church and dining out. Makes me think I’m doing something right.
If my bunny slippers, pink hair curlers, and old, worn out robe tell what sort of a person I am, they would probably be correct. I am old, worn out and tired, just like my clothing. LOL :womanwink:
I learned not ever judge the book by the cover! Sometimes, people have a bad day and have to run out of the house. However, if you want to impress, then dress! That said, i was told :heart:this by my grandma. Once she came to visit from Australia and had her jewels on with her beautiful coat. Her lipstick was perfect and of course her nailpolish too. I told her how beautiful she looked and she came back with a quick answer. Honey, once you have so many wrinkles, you need to wear jewlery and look your best, then people will not focus on your wrinkles. Miss her, she always wore her lipstick till her late 80’s!
Lmao a little? Animal Prints, hot pink and weird lipstick as well as denim are big with me. I also love flowers and flowy clothes. Red, red lip colors and dark lips too.
HI LUCKY:womanhappy: THIS IS AN ‘INFORMATIVE’ THREAD! PEOPLE DO JUDGE :womanfrustrated:, EVEN IF THEY SHOULDN’T :womansad: —HUMAN NATURE I GUESS?!!! :womanindifferent: I AGREE W/MOST! SUSIECAT– I AGREE! One day I’m Gucci Chanel–next I’m Target Wmart! And ALL in between! Does ‘this’ tell what kind of person I am? Well, I’ll tell ya’s ……I OVERPAY AND HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR ……NO, THAT’S SENSE OF ‘SELF’! :womanlol: LOL I do feel we dress for whatever we ‘feel’ for the ‘purpose of’ for THAT event/day! As a vocalist–I was ‘taught/told’ to DRESS ONE ABOVE THE CROWD! That’s why my wardrobe varies so! Living (performing) ‘sandwiched’ between PGA-Palm Beach and Boca Raton AND depending on venue–local club/bar to THE KRAVIS CENTER—THIS CAN GET VERY PRICEY!!! I have the FINE ‘STAPLE’ WARDROBE…..AND the ‘EVERYDAY’! BUT, IMHO— I’M OK W/ANY STYLE/CLOTHES —WHAT I PREFER ……A CLEAN AND WELL GROOMED PERSON! ‘THAT’ REEKS, UM, ERR ‘SPEAKS’ VOLUMES TO ME!!!! :womanwink::womanlol:
No. There are many factors that cause people to wear what they do. Affordability, availabilty of special sizes, etc. There are many people that dress to the nines and they are rotten to the core. Yet, there are those who shop at the ‘Mart and are kind, generous and loving…..so you decide.
Superficially, no. The only thing you can tell on such a superficial level is whether or not someone takes pride in the way they present themselves, if they have any fashion sense, if they’re ‘put together’.
However, having said that, every COLOUR has a symbolic meaning… every SHAPE has a symbolic meaning. If one is aware of what is being symbolized by the Colours and Shapes a person is wearing, then, yes, you can tell a bit about their personality… and just what part of their personality they are expressing at that particular moment, (and which is usually quite unconscious on their part).
People who can read Energy Fields, (i.e. Auras), can definitely tell what kind of person they are dealing with. So can astrologers, but not by ‘looking’ at someone; they have to read the person’s Chart to know what kind of person they are dealing with.
Most people are well on their way to reading Energy Fields. We do this by getting ‘a feel’ for someone’s demeanor, their stance, the Energy projected from their eyes, their smile or frown… you get the picture. As we evolve, we will become more and more ‘intuitive’ about people’s personalities as their particular Energy enters our own Energy Fields.
There was a thread a while back, can’t remember what the title was, and HSN’s clown clothes were discussed. Sometimes I like to look at the designers from fashion week, and today I came across this.
This was designed by Junya Watanabe, it’s in his Spring 2016 collection. His past collections are interesting as well.
If I was walking down the street and saw someone wearing this, I would definitely have an opinion.
I think this applied in years past. Nowadays, we have business casual and corporate denim days. I’ve been called a soccer mom because I run errands in sweats and a pony tail. I am not a soccer mom, just lazy at times. We have a friend who is a millionaire, but you’d never know how successful and smart he is by the clothes he wears. Never judge a book by its cover.
Side note- when I was in the corporate boardroom, I never wore pink. Some people do judge based on clothing. I wore strong colors and bold jewelry. Just my opinion.
My grandmother said not to marry a man with holes in his socks because he would not make a good husband. Told us it had nothing to do with his finances.
No! clothes don’t make the person you really are.
For example:I can’t spend tons of money on designer
clothes…way to expensive for me.I wait till they go on clearance and
then look like a million bucks!And,guess what??I’m not a
I believe it is inside that counts:) Like the saying goes "don’t just the book by its cover Its the contents that counts:)
Clothes do not make the person you are. Your personality and how you project it is what really counts. My father was a steel worker. He had only one suit and only wore it when required. He had a way of connecting with anyone about anything and people who met him felt like they were taking to a close friend no matter what he was wearing and no matter who they were. I wish I was more like him….Ronnie
I know one thing, if you don’t wear clothes it for sure means you are a nudist. :womanlol: :catvery-happy: :manlol: :robotlol: :smileyvery-happy:
