I went to check reviews on DG2’s new fabric of a new knit denim highly promoted by Diane and host and said to have such high reviews. When I went to check the reviews they were all from people who were given a free pair of jean’s to review. Seems kind of disingenuous. It may be more accurate to get reviews from people who actually had to pay for them. Just sayin!

Because I don’t watch HSN I went to read the description and possibly order these pants and the first thing I noticed was the 5 star reviews. I started reading the reviews and also noticed the reviewers received the jeans for free. Now you can’t even rely on reviews. I think this is so wrong.

It wouldn’t make a difference to me if the jeans were free or not. If hsn had sent me a pair free of charge and asked for a review I would tell it like it is. …….I’m sure they wouldn’t send them to someone who doesn’t order them often. 😉

Question: Is it really necessary to wash new DG2 denim jackets before you wear them? Will the dye permeate your blouses, etc??

  Yes Galfriend it is necessary to wash most all denim before wearing
  First off to get that horrid ink steel out. Secondly, the dye does rub off on lighter clothing AND, carrying a suede bag or one in pastels or lighter colors, you can ruin them with the ruboff from the denim. I totally ruined a lovely light camel bag just from denim dye. Wash your denims first Gals. Sharon in Iowa

I’d like to know how people get free stuff. I have been with HSN since the early 90s and have never once been “given” anything.

A few years ago I received one or two beauty items that were free. Unfortunately, those items did nothing for me and in fact my skin was allergic to it. I did write a review and said what I thought including the reaction. If you look at the reviews in Amazon, there are quite a few freebies as well, and the customers, as far as I can tell, have been truthful. If you are not sure about the purchase, why not put it into your favorites so that you can check on it from time to time. Don’t be surprised if waiting brings in a lower price or better yet, reviews that have nothing to do with the free gift.
