DG2 NOXISH ODOR
Yes, there’s a noxish odor in Diane Gilman’s jeans. Please note this odor, per my experience, is only in black jeans. This, what’s in the dye? I’ve noticed it, probably within the last five years with the additional spandex in the fabric. Years ago, Diane’s original jean’s fabric/denim barely had Spandex and was totally free. To cut manufacturing & customer costs, the fabric doesn’t come close to denim and fits like a pair of Spanks.
Not happy, Diane!
It does not wash out. The fact that it is in the fabric at all should be addressed as a health hazard. I have spoken about this for the last time. It does not ever get a response or anything. I value my health too much….and by the way last time I took a chance it was literally all over every piece of the clothing. Not just the black! I really admire and love her looks and I am so glad to see her doing so great but this has gone on for a few years and no one seems to care. It is a hideous gasoline or formaldehyde smell….can not be good for you. The skin touching it makes my skin crawl. Ishhhhh………..
True, the noxish, toxicity odor is everlasting. Do you suppose Ms Gillman has others doing quality/assurance, etc. and is clueless about this issue? Also, pocket depth has greatly deminished. And alas … her pricing continues increasing.
I’ve stopped ordering because a lack of trust with DG2’s exist. Follow-ups from her reps are non-existent. Is HSN even passing the info on?
I wash garments inside out with laundry soap such as beekmans, do additional rinse cycle. I found it removed odors
All of my garments are washed inside out to avoid pilling and 2 rinse cycles are programmed. Unfortunately, the chemical smell remains. It truly doesn’t die, but becomes a trifle bit tolerable.
