DG2 Embroidered Skinny Jean
Beautiful idea, poorly executed. I tried on the embroidered jeans Diane did earlier this year. First, her sizes run so large it’s just plain silly. Second, the cut is unflattering; the waist is long and comes up to the belly button and makes everything appear larger.
I also purchased two of Dianes embroidered jeans from earlier in the year, however my experience was just the opposite. They fit perfectly with very little stretch as opposed to her “DG2 LUXSPORT Luxe Denim
Skinny Jegging” – (item # 512-375). Those were VERY stretchy & from what all the reviews said one could go down about three sizes!! Those definitely were SUPER stretchy!
So to quote your words above m_e_l DITTO!! Except apply your words to the super stretch jeggings!
I ALMOST bought these. It was a good thing that I checked the inseam on the tall. It is only 32!!!! That isn’t a TALL inseam!! I need at least 35 in jeans for them to even be close to being long enough. So disappointed! I actually would have bought 2 pairs, IF they were long enough.
That’s sad that the size link varies. There is actually two size charts. One is HSN’s general sizes, the other is in the description field. Make sure you always read the reviews prior to purchase.
I’m confused because I am about a size 8 but according to the size cart I would be a 14!, I know her sizes are usually huge.
I loved her last ones and ended up buying three colors. So I’m good on embroidered jeans and passed this time.
I purchased her last embroidered jeans in all styles , however the one with the navy chevron lines ran far smaller than the other styles. Thought the first pair was a fluke, tried a second and it was the same so there was no consistent sizing as usual with Diane. 🙁
This time , I purchased them in all colors and am now set for Fall. I have received all- but the navy midtone and am holding my breath they will fit.
I received these today in the chambray multi in 12P and they are absolutely perfect! The embroidery is gorgeous and so well done. I am a usual 10-12 in pant sizing, mostly a 12. Chico’s sizing a 1.5 for pants. The length is perfect for my 5″4″; hits me right at my ankle where I like it! The fabric is a light to medium weight, not real heavy and that is fine for my part of the country (Texas). The chambray multi will look wonderful with a classic blazer, turtleneck and boots. I am very happy with my purchase.
I too bought the 12P in the black & Chambrey multi. These fit perfect in the length (I’m 4’11”), however these embroidered “Skinny” jeans have much more stretch to them. I could’ve ordered a 10P & they would’ve fit like a skinny should’ve if I would’ve known. lol
I agree with the many inconsistent size reviews, b/c these definately have much more give than her last years embroidered skinnys. I don’t think I will send them back as they fit like a straight leg as opposed to “Skinny jeans” as described.
I wanted to post a review under the description, but they said ” I haven’t had them long enough” to give a decent review & thats why I’m posting it here.
Order a size down on these if you want the skinny jean look.
I got my first pair today. They are huge! I never have purchased clothes before. I guess I have a lot to learn. I am not sure about the way I am built being right for these jeans, either. I am very short waisted, and these ride very high. Debating whether I will try a smaller size, or give up on them. Really loved the charcoal color with the embroidery work in about same. I even tried to guess, hearing them say to downsize. I could go down 3 more, I believe. The quality seemed good, however. Lighter weight for fall and spring wearing. Do all DG2 jeans run big?
I received these jeans yesterday and tried them on today. I bought both the chambray and the midtone. The embroidery detail is beyond beautiful but the fit was a failure for me. Also, on the chambray pair there was a bump above the embroidery hip side that was apparently caused by how it was sewn on the seam.I bought my normal size, 16W. The front waist fit was good. They were comfortable .When I sat down the back rise was very low and I was losing coverage quickly. When I stood up I put my hand inside the back and there was so much space you could have put a small child inside. I wouldn’t say that these jeans are “skinny” by any means. I will be sending them back.
These jeans seem to fit a lot better than her last batch of embroidery jeans. I received 4 pairs today and couldn’t believe the fit. The gray pair did run larger than the rest.I finally think I found my DG2 size which is a 4Tall. For reference, 31 “waist, 36” hip. I didn’t find any puckering like the last batch had. The chambray was the cutest I think and the gray also, with the relaxed fit.
I haven’t done the test yet. Wear them around the house, sit down, bend to see if they are going to stretch out. They are comfortable and a good price. Oh… and no smell. I noticed the little dry packets in the jeans I received and I’m sure that really helped.
Also the Indigo multi jeans were very pretty,a little too much for me personally but when you sat down the knee was not comfortable due to the embroidery. Just saying the last time batch, sizing was all over the place and the new ones fit nice. Yes, the inseam does seem to run shorter on these.
