Boots for big fat calves and super wide feet
If you have big fat wide calves and/or extra wide feet, Simply Be has all sorts of widths! Typically, "wide calf" is about 17". They offer a lot more different ones!
I got – on Black Friday sale- boots that have laces in the front – they are midcalf – and a zipper in the back! So you lace them just so, and then keep putting them on and off without having to redo the whole thing of laces. Mine fit me well. They are wide enough and very comfortable, and made of leather. If you know somebody who can’t buy boots at outlets like HSN, send them to Simply Be.
On that note though, here is a cautionary tale: recently, I met for lunch a very dear personal friend, a diabetic woman wgo gained so much weight she could no longer fit into any boots, her knees were wider than hips of some of you here. She confided that she particularly gained weight on her thighs and knees. Long story short, after a couple days in the hospital she lost 49 lbs – and those poor knees and calves deflated like you wouldn’t believe it. I had no idea human body could retain almost 50 lbs of water!!!! So watch for loved ones with extra big fat knees and calves that just gained them not so long ago and don’t take a simple ‘no" for the answer to "do you have a heart or kidney condition?" Just because they don’t know it, doesn’t mean they are free from it.
AmeriMark has extra wide-width (M, W, EW) / extra wide-calf Boots (15" and 18" cirumfrence).
Thanks, massha. I need wide width in boots. I’ll definitely check there, and back again next year. The cute boots sell out so quickly.
Thanks, massha. I’ve been looking for boots and not being very successful. I’d looked at their website but hadn’t seen much in the way of reviews. On your word, I went and checked it out again. I love the detail they give for how to figure out what size to get. Would love to find the ones you bought, but don’t see anything like that, but I’ll keep watching.
Massha–my mother is a very healthy woman. A few years back I said Mom your feet look swollen.
We found out last year it was a kidney problem….She is tiny and what had happened she never had been noted with spells of hi-blood pressure. Now they are forever more trying to balance a med for the BP and one for the kidney- I never knew blood pressure could cause kidney trouble. My mom shops and has for years organic, WHOLE FOOD- ECT—–Did it pay off ? WHO KNOWS.
