$300 to $400 For A Causal Outfit…
Does the average woman spend $300 to $400 for a causal outfit? I am talking about clothes that you wear to take the kids to school and after school classes, food shopping, to the parks and ball games, to go out to lunch for a burger, to visit the friend next door, to walk through the mall, to go sightseeing, to caught a movie, to run to the drugstore etc. How much would the outfit cost… pants, shirt, shoes, tote, watch, earrings, bracelet, etc?
Not for any outfit, ever. I have purchased three items in my life, dresses that cost about $250 each because I needed dresses and they did not even have them at HSN those years. The dress was dead. I wear outfits everday that the original price may be much more then $300 to $400, but I will have not paid near the price. I am 75% to 90% off dare devil shopper,
I have no kids to take to school and fall apart getting myself out of the house so I do not see how anyone does it for even one day. When my son was little I just had one and he was easy. I would wear a house coat and bunny slippers if I had to show up with kids 🙂
This is how I do causal:smileyhappy:
ecgi I have to be honest to your question and my answer is yes.
Because I have them and i actually wear them to those places.:smileyhappy:
:womanhappy:Hello, my friends, NO I don’t think I would like to be in stuffy clothes, that I want to feel relaxed in, My Casual is not sweat suits, maybe hoodies from the mall, or clothes I catch on clearance on HSN, DOWN TIME IS SACRED TO ME, being in business so many years, in Retail and going into New York and meet the top lines, cruise lines, etc. I know where most of the clothing is made, what it’s made out of, also. I accesorize with scarves, my jewelry cosists of the same, unless going out. Sure, may be diamonds, I don’t take them off, a sacred ring from my Parents, diamond cross ring. Hubby gave me my Praying Hands on a Heart, with great gold chain years ago, that never comes off. I enjoy having the top trendy looking clothes, yet love creating my own unique look, that I get compliments on, it’s just the way I was raised, we did not come to the kitchen table, in the morning in night wear, we had to shower, dress for the day, work etc. It’s how we were brought up. Mom, was always reminding us, when it’s a day to go out, look your best, Not for anyone else, but yourself. It’s ridiculous with so many charities who need help, being from the Jersey Shore we are touted as big hair, and bling. Yes, daily routine bling, earrings diamonds, but skechers, jeans, boyfriend jeans, casual tops work fine for me, IF YOU NEED TO RUN ERRANDS, ETC. Always remember HSN does clearance on Mondays, and if you are in the mall, head for the back rounder, that’s where the clearance items are. Yet, I add my own touch, and I dress differently from office work, BOUTIQUE work, Retail in the mall, was neat, and always blazers, etc. I love Mr. Bob Mackies line, or George Simonton, thats for Holidays, special days etc. WOW, 400 BUCKS for a hang out outfit. I would rather gift or run a fundraiser for a charity. My heart can’t be bought:) xoxo toffeedude xoxox
For me very casual no I would not spend that much. I wear a lot of Victoria Secret clothing like Boyfriend Pants, tees, their Pink brand sweatshirts & I wear Adidas or Sketchers & Converse Chucks. As far as jewelry I wear my diamonds that I never take off engagement ring & wedding band & my tennis bracelet & generally a ceramic watch. I have a couple colors & depends on my mood what color to wear. I no longer am employed so my dress clothes just hang in my 2 walk in closets. I am just a casual person, not sloppy, kinda trendy. With all the variety I have in Victoria Secret I just mix it up a little & change it around. Or I needed to add this I may be in jeans with legs cuffed, boyfriend sweater & Doc Martin boots. I go with my mood for the day for casual dressing 🙂
