I only want Windows 7 – can I get it with this laptop?
I got my windows 7 from hsn about 8 or 9 yrs. ago and still have it. i’m using it now, and i hope they don’t do away with the 7, i like it.
There are still some manufacturers that are offering laptops on their web sites with Windows 7, or you could purchase a Windows 8 machine and download/install a program that installs a Windows 7-like interface. Your only other option would be to wait for Windows 10.
(Microsoft has announced that users of Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 (and I think Vista) will be able to upgrade to 10 free, but I think it’s only for 60 days after its introduction.)
If you only want Windows 7, then you’d be better off buying a different computer with that operating system on it. Otherwise, it would cost you money to change the operating system froom Windows 8 to Windows 7 with some computer savyiness.
Just curious but do you want to stay with Windows 7 because you don’t like the Windows 8 tile system? If so, you have the desktop option which I’m using. I went from Vista to Windows 8.1 and I hated the tile system and it took me about an hour to figure out how to get the desktop (like Vista) on it.
Also, I got a notice about free Windows 10 upgrade which I reserved by giving them my email addy.
