DON’T BUY HP PRODUCTS.
I PURCHASE AN HP LAPTOP, WHEN ARRIVED I HAD AND I STILL DO ALL KIND OF PROBLEMS, I CALL THE TECHNICAL SUPPORT, THEY CONVINCE ME TO PAY ADITIONAL $325 FOR SUPPORT, EVEN THOUGHT THE LAPTOP HAVE 1 YEAR WARRANTY, I WAS CONNECTED TO INDIA, THE TECHNICIAN TOOK REMOTE ACCESS TO MY LAPTOP, HE MESSED UP EVERYTHING, HE ERASE LOT PROGRAMS, HE DIDN’T KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING AT ALL,HE WAS TRYING TO ERASE MY 1YEAR FULL SUBSCRIPTION McCAFFEE ANTIVIRUS WHICH CAME WITH THE LAPTOP ANYWAYS AND I JUST RENIEW TO A FULL YEAR, ,NOW MY LAPTOP IT WON’T START, AND WHEN IT DOES GIVING ME ALL KIND OF PROBLEMS, AFTER I COMPLAINT FEW TIMES, A CASE MANAGER FROM HP CALLED AME, AND HER SOLUTION WAS , TO TRY TO SELL MY LAPTOP ON EBAY OR SOMEWHERE ELSE AND BUY A NEW ONE,WHEN I TOLD HER ABOUT MY ACTIVE WARRANTY STATUES SHE GAVE ME 1MILLION NEGATIVE EXCUSES, WARRANTY WON’T COVER ANYTHING PRETTY MUCH.
SO I KEPT SENDING EMAILS, AND I TRIED/TRYING TO CONTACT THEM FOR A SOLUTION, AND THEY BLOCK ME ,SO I CAN’T HAVE ACCESS TO THEYR WEB SITE.
HP ,IS LIARS,DISHONEST, THE WORST CUSTOMER SUPPORT, AND THEY WILL GIVE YOU THE RUN AROUND.
STAY AWAY FROM HP … THEY ARE THE WORST …

I bought an HP from the other shopping channel. After trying to get it up and running with their tech support I sent it back and bought another brand. You shouldn’t have to pay for tech support for their goods if they are any good to start with.,……Ronnie
Call McCAFFEE and see it they can help … Although – I KNOW from personal experiences that McCAFFEE are crooks and that they place viuses and spyware onto your computers – So that tey can get paid to remove them. McCAFFEE also use fake names.
If I purchase a computer with McCAFFEE on it , I switch it out wthin a few weeks.
My HP days are long, long, long over and I’ve been happy ever since!
It would be much easier to read the text above if it was not posted in all caps. all caps make it hard to read and you appear to be shouting. Could you possibly edit it so we could read it? It seems you are upset about HP products. If you could possibly edit it as sentences we would know more and be able to sympathize or take your warning for consideration.
My HP laptops work great. I bought my first one from Big Lots in 2008, after they bought out stock from Circuit City. I got my second one last year on clearance at Walmart.
I’ve used HP computers for years, my current computer is an HP. I recently bought a Dell Laptop for my daughter and it started messing up within a few months, last I heard from her she gave up using it and is using her work laptop. This is a top of the line Dell, I am trying to convince her to bring the laptop with her when she comes in a couple of weeks, it is still under warranty and if I get on the phone, I’m pretty sure that it will get fixed or replaced.
I have purchased the extended HP tech support on mine after the initial warranty expired and it was $14.95 a month if I wanted it billed monthly. I should point out that the problem was caused by a bad "push" of updates by Microsoft, the HP tech advised me, I called Microsoft and they wanted $100 for a one month tech support deal, or $150 for a year. They amitted it was a defective update they had pushed out, but wouldn’t fix it unless I bought at least the $100/30 day deal. They did restore everything and it’s been working fine, but it wasn’t an HP problem.
So, don’t say that an entire brand is bad just because you had trouble, but specifics about what the trouble is is nice to know, and Georgios, you didn’t even say what the problem was, you were just ranting.
Sounds like you are having a terrable time of it—You need to find someone you know or a friend of someone ya know who REALLY knows computers—I would be lost and would not even have one (it would make me so angrey) if it wasnt for the fact my husband can fix anything on the computor–If I had to call tec-support everytime this thing told me to I would throw it out the window–Sometmes it will take a while to get it set up the way you want–My husband swaers by the Norten Anti-virious–I am still having a few problems with this HP myself but only because dont have all software installed yet—Just find someone who really knows what they are doing—or maybe even the gek squd—alot of these young kids really know computers really well
I had a similar experience with my HP. The tech. did not what he was doing, he did a system restore and loss all my item and programs I had on the computer. I did call the corporate office and asked the recept. to speak with the CEO. She did transf me to him and he did call me back. They shipped my computer to the service center to fix. When it returned, it did not have the Microsoft Word on it. He stated for me to call Microsoft, After speaking with Microsoft, I was told they could not help me, because the Microsoft was preinstalled on the computer when I purchased it and It was not purchased directly from Microsoft. But from there on, the CEO did not return my calls. I stopped purchasing HP from that point on. Their customer service when you can understand them, do not care, When you call them, if the 1st person cannot fix the issue they create an escalated ticket for an upper tech to get on line with you and take control of the computer, but they do not guarantee if they delete anything they will fix it. If they cannot take care of it, they send it to another person. That person has a person come out to the house to see if they can fix it because they talked me into taking out an extra extended warranty. The people they have work on the computers I found out by the person that came out, HP puts an customer issue online and they have people in your area do bids on it. The person with the lowest bid gets the service ticket. When the person came out to the house, he indicated that was what they did and HP confirmed it, because that person did not know how to work on my HP computer, he also indicated he would put a counterfeit Microsoft on my computer if is did not tell anyone. To this day I do not have Microsoft on that computer, I ended up purchasing another computer that was not HP. I was not going to allow an HP rep to put something on my computer that was counterfeit. I suggest if you purchase HP, always purchase an extended warranty through HSN, I have never had an issue with their warranty .
I’m sorry you’ve had such a bad experience with your HP computer. I’ve found HP to be one of the most reliable brands on the market for years, and with the exception of my current laptop (which I bought because of my job requirements) that’s the only brand I purchase. HOWEVER, I agree with slumlord–I do NOT use tech support, nor would I use tech support for any brand of computer. You should not have to had paid for additional tech support unless your computer was out of warranty, which it sounds like it wasn’t. Keep hounding HP or contact BBB. You should be able to get a resolution somewhere. Good luck.
I have had same problems .I have been upset with hp support and they have messed my printer several times and have had the phone put down on me.Also been kept on the phone for two hour.I really dread having to call H.P surpport NEttea
