Transferring old laptop to new one
If I order the new HP Today’s Special, how do I get things on my current laptop to the new one? Also, can I use a mouse instead of the touch pad if I want? How do I learn this computer with no user manual. I don’t have the time nor patience to call a support line when I have a question. Us older folks didn’t grow up using computers to automatically know how to use the new technology. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.
Forgot to reply regarding the mouse..Yes you can use a mouse. You can use a couple of keys on the laptop to disable the touch pad and reenable it if you decide to use it.A computer manual can be found online.I usually go to the brand website and downlaod a manual.Usually just seacrhing the brand and model number in a search engine will bring it up too.
I use one of the little USB flash drives.I just copy everything to the drive then carry it over to the new computer. You can also transfer your profile and this will take your bookmarks and passwords, etc so you don’t have to add them manually. You will then have all the stuff you had on the old computer.
What is the name of this cord and how much do this cost
