"Top of the line Vizio."
I knew if I looked I would see the truth…and all I had to do was go to the Vizio website.
The M series is not the top. The P series is.
If you want people to believe what you say, you shouldn’t lie. I don’t believe ANYTHING HSN says…about ANYTHING.
About 4 years ago while in WalMart, I saw the (store brand?) Sceptre TVs at a good price. They are cheap TVs. I purchased a 40 inch for $249.
I set it up in my den area and for 4 years, that TV has rarely been turned off. It is on 24/7. – When everyone is in bed, we keep that Tv on at very low volume. The picture and audio is very good and I’ve not had any trouble with that TV.
Hey everyone, to participate in this conversation I want to say, ya’ll are right about the Vizio. My girlfriend is a "BIG WHEEL" at Walmart. At Xmas she said, " they had so many Vizio’s in for Black Friday and many to unload." I said, "Wow! they are very reasonable maybe I should get me one." She tells me, "No! they aren’t worth a knickel. Those T.V.’s are returned more often then any other T.V. in this store, and they don’t last more than 2 years." O.K. that is all I needed to hear…thanked her for her honesty and didn’t buy one.
Good luck everyone! Buy wisely!
I have last years model of this tv…doesn’t have the QWERTY keyboard on the remote, but has 3D capability that this model doesn’t. I love the tv…love the picture and the smart capabilities. Like that I can bring up a video from YouTube on my laptop, phone or tablet, sync with the TV and watch it on there. The sound can be an issue with cable….. I have seen this on other Vizio TV’s but not this model. ….the volume controls of the Vizio remote and the cable remote will fight each other and the sound can wave loud and soft. But the sound in general is only average….you really need a sound bar.
The 240Hz is the best you can get short of 4K. And what I have read, 4K is only great if you are sitting a foot or so in front of the set….no difference if you are viewing at a normal distance. With this Vizio you will get the "soap opera" effect wtih the 240Hz on some programs and movies but unless you are a purist, I don’t think its a major issue. For what you get, this tv is worth it IMO.
Good job, Eagle Eye!
Early this morning Brett Chuckerman kept saying "do your research" and "comparison shop." I would certainly do that with a purchase of this size.
For me I am perfectly satisified with my HD tv I bought on black Friday 4 or 5 years ago. It is still working just fine.
Got a Visio since my son in law says they are the best…right.
Worked ok for about a week, then sound would come and go like ocean waves constantly…took it back to store where purchased.
Bought a S*ny…but really like my old clunker better than any of these. It didn’t do things like change the size of the picture so that it doesn’t fill up the whole screen, lose sound, etc…it just worked fine all the time day after day and night after night…yes, it was huge and unsightly, but it worked great!
We purchased our first HD TV from QVC. It was a Sharp. The TV arrived with a problem and couldn’t be hooked up. QVC had no more in stock. I believe it was an end of the run model bought up for sale on TV. We then contacted Sharp and they replaced it with a new upgraded model as they no longer made the previous model. It still works fine after four and a half years. I’m of the opinion that the shopping channels buy up the TVs no longer being made at a discount and sell them as the latest model. That’s how they can discount them and sell them as special.
So funny … Just now a caller was either naively or intentionally Slamming the brand, Lea got scared and looked at Colleen.
The caller talked about loving a Vizio model that she had purchased. Then she started detailing all of the problems that she had with it. She then praised customer service for immediately sending her another remote … then they had to send her another TV… etc. – Colleen then ‘got rid of her.’
Our first HDTV was a Vizio. It lasted a whole 2 1/2 years.
He also has a variety show at 9am PST on Sat. right?
Thank you. 🙂
