Roku 3 Question???
I’d like a little clarification on the way this works cause I feel that TV tends to leave out some important details with items like these. First of all, to view the shows or movies you need to have a paid subscription to that app/chanel right? I have a smart TV and already pay for Netflix and Amazon Prime and have done Hulu in the past. So what would be the advantage to having Roku in my situation? She keeps saying you get 2000 channels and a million movies, but you still need a subscription to the provider of those shows and movies, right? But if I did a search by actor like she did on air it will come up with all the results and then I could choose from that list one of his movies on Netflix or Prime or something I already subscribe to. Am I correct in this understanding? Thank you for any info you can provide that would be helpful.
I don’t see a big advantage of having both. Roku without a Smart TV gives access to hundres of odd channels that shows a lot of old TV shows and Old movies – for free. ( westerns, I Love Lucy, Perry Mason, **bleep** Van **bleep**). All of the Shopping Channels are also on Roku, along with Youtube and Snipets of News shows from major networks. Most who have Roku enjoy it primarily with their Netflix, Hulu and Amazon subscriptions. – Also, HBOGO along with a version of Showtime are also on Roku with a subscription.
I think Roku3 turns regular TV into a sort of Smart TV. Plus, Roku is portable.
I am also love’n seeing Lincoln.
And just now I was trying to figure out if Lincoln was crying or if OUR dog was just breathing heavy, as he’s sleeping in "his" chair.
i am! love seeing lincoln!
