Protection Plus coverage for TracFone
I am new to the Smart Phone. I have just ordered the special for the LG TracFone and being unsure of myself, I added the 2yr Protection Plus coverage.
Can anyone tell me if this was a smart move OR just a waste of money? Wouldn’t the LG TracFone (like most electronic purchases) come with a basic warranty for 1 year? Also, I still have an old AT&T/Samsung flip phone on the AT&T Go Plan that I only use for emergencies while on vacation, etc and therefore I don’t carry it around with me – It is left in my truck.
I was told by a friend that these Smart Phones can be easily dropped and broken, which caused me to think I needed the additional 2yr protection coverage. Is this true? I have dropped my flip phone several times and have never had a problem with it.
I want to do what would be advantageous for me and try to save money at the same time.
Thanks to anyone who could be of assistance to me.
With sincere appreciation.
@toberkins, I think that it’s a good thing you purchased the HPP. The wonderful thing about the Protection Plans for your item is that it includes Accidental Damage for portable electronics (cell/smart phones, portable dvd players, laptops, etc). So say one day your screen cracked on the phone, you would be covered. 🙂 I hope this helps!
