Problems using the ‘Elite Customer Service’ for conputers$
Has anyone had trouble getting through to a technical support person in the Elite customer support service that came with their HSN purchased computers? Apparently it is a separate firm that is supposed to provide lifetime technical support for anybody buying laptops that have this included with their software bundle. I bought an HP laptop a few months ago and have just about never gotten through to a technical rep. The last time I tried calling the number provided on the card sent with the computer, I was LITERALLY on hold for 2 hours waiting for a human being to answer the phone and help me. I finally just said to h*ll with it and hung up. Yesterday when I tried to call them again I found out that the number was changed. I was never notified about this. Was anybody else who had the elite support notified about a change of telephone number? I again tried several times starting at 3 a.m. this morning to get an actual human being on the
phone but all I have gotten are the messages saying that my call is ‘very important and a rep would be on the line shortly’. I just hung up after that. I have also left at least 4 separate messages in their email boxes advising them that I need technical support and need to have somebody call me back . No surprise that I have not heard a word from anybody! And this is supposed to be 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, customer support!! Since I know that certainly over 40,000 people bought the laptop / software package that included the elite support software, I was wondering how many people have been having the same problems I’ve been having getting through to actual human beings. I have one more FlexPay due on the laptop and I advised a HSN that if this issue was not fixed, they would not be getting my final FlexPay. I purchased that laptop / software package specifically because it did have theoretical lifetime technical support, which I have absolutely not gotten since I purchased the package.
I have same issue today website worked 6 months ago today i need help website is gone does not exist and the phone number is disconnected. will contact HSN during the day and talk to a supervisor. if i get no satisfaction after an escalation i will take all my business to QVC
I am so upset with my new now (old) HP laptop I was told I had lifetime support and other free programs I used the service one or 2 times and never recieved the free anything and support with elite was stopped humm lifetime … now the laptop is not working and I was putting alot of pictures on this item because thats what I bought it for . now it just continues to say preparing to fix NOTHING ELSE NO laptop at all For all the money I spent on the thing I am so upset with HSN AND ELITE SUPPORT I am splitting nails .. I more try I call HSN they give me a number to call and all it says is someone will be with you in a monent or leave message right left message no anwser back WHAT TO DO ????? ANY ANSWERS
Here is my take. After several days of trying to access the website I contacted HSN and was given new numbers to call. That was a disaster. I don’t know what happened but I actually accessed the site yesterday and found out:
1. The web site is being update and the tel system is being updated!!!! No date for finalization was available. The Tech rep was extremely helpful. I wonder why HSN has not taken the lead on this and got the word out. I really got the run around trying to get some correct information from HSN. What really suprised me was the sign on for Elite Tech support. It was not what is on the card!!! Guess you will have to be patient and hope your PC does not fail!!!!!!!!!!!!
I purchased a Gateway NV79 from HSN 3 years ago this summer, also supposedly covered for lifetime support. They included a card in the shipment with a phone number to call toll free for assistance. A little over a 1 year into the purchase, I called the number provided for assistance & I was told the support ended after a year & if I wanted assistance I would have to pay a fee, which I refused to do since it was sold as being lifetime support. I don’t believe it’s a coincidence that people are posting to this forum that they are experiencing similiar problems with receiving technical assistance. It narural for the vendors to assume that it’s an easier sell if they tell the consumer that they’ll receive lifetime support for these systems. By the way, the same guy who is being presented as the HSN computer "expert" to sell the Dell TSV today is the one who was pushing that same promise of lifetime support when I bought my Gateway PC as a TSV 3 years ago. HSN is as much as fault as the non existent support company because I called them to complain about the matter and they did nothing to resolve it. I even posted my complaint on the community forum at the time & nothing came of it. Bottom line is they’re selling a promise they have no intention of keeping so buyer beware!
Yes having problems getting ahold of elite suport. They took down their web site. The phone # was disconected. I also bought hp laptop with life time suport last dec.. I also feel i was ripped off. Now i have to spend more money for tec suport. I called your so called new number 1-877-880-1015 and got no one. they said leave a message and they will get back with me. On the message they never said who they were, just leave a message, so i did. Left it at around 10:00 am. 8/22/2015 LET’S see how fast they get back with me… [if at all] Yes i also feel i was sold a cow without the milk. Im not very tec savay and this is the reason i bought the laptop for help when i need it. I buy alot of things from HSN and might not buy any more. I don’t like being decived. Bad for your company. Well, their are other companies to buy from who would love my business! Oh and its not our fault you sold thousands and cannot keep your end of the deal. That is your fault and now you’ve made it our problem. THANKS ALOT FOR YOUR DESEPTION.
I have been having the same issues. When I first bought the laptop one of the reasons that I did buy it just because of that great service and lifetime technical support. I bought mine in 2014 in August and I did get through a couple of times with that phone number on that brochure but now a year later that number on that brochure is no longer working and I just left a message on their website and I doubt that I will hear from them . This is a big big customer service fail on the part of HS and I am sure like you said thousands and thousands of laptops were sold and a lot of people bought them because of this great incentive but you can’t even get through to them I will never buy any electronics from HSN again or anything from them again. This is out right false advertising and it is clear that HSN will go to any levels for a sale. Shame on HSN.
