Polaroid 11.6 M11H tablet micro sd card compatibility
I recently purchased the polaroid 11.6 M11H tablet but it seems no one has the ability to tell me what are some of the compatible micro sd cards that can be used inside this tablet. All I can find out is the maximum size at 65gb. There are dozens of 64GB cards available with different speeds. Can I use a class 2 or 4 or 6 or 10? Will the UHS speed class 1 be compatible? What formats can I use with this tablet? MicroSD, MicroSDHC, SDHC, or SDXC? I Called the maker of this tablet (southerntelecomL and the customer service replied I don’t know what you are talking about. He told me the size is 64gb which I knew already. If someone has some information they would like to share and can tell me the format and speed of the card would be greatly appreciated. The only other option is to buy a ton of these and see which ones work and which ones don’t work. I prefer I can find out from someone instead of purchasing 100’s of dollars and play trial and error.
Thanks for the information…..Good to know:).
MicroSD refers to the small physical size of the card. MicroSDHC means it can store up to 32 GB. MicroSDXC means it can store 64 GB and up. If UHS (ultra high speed) is indicated, it’s not necessary, but you can still use the card.
I personally use and recommend SanDisk Ultra cards, class 10.
The class refers to how fast data can be written to the card. The user guide for the Polaroid tablet indicates only that a microSD card is needed. No minimum class is recommend, so any class can be used. It only has a 5MP camera, and in a tablet like this a memory card is typically used for media storage only. Some devices, such as cameras or camcorders that take high resolution photos and video, require a higher class and their guides will indicate the mimimum class that’s required.
I guess you could say that a Class 10 is overkill for a tablet, UHS too. UHS is for 4K. But good cards can be had for a good price if you shop around, so I feel why not have something better in case you need it for another device. If @randy7827 would prefer to get a lower class card, it’ll serve the purpose for using in the tablet.
