MS INFORMED ROKU
I received my role and it does not work like you said it would you have to buy everything you want . No live TV unless you buy it and who knows when you buy something does it last one month or do you get it forever? And movies they show commercials during the movies for ten minutes or less it’s terrible you guys don’t explain all that you make it seem like once you have it you get everything live tv free movies etc.etc. and that’s not true! You should explain it for people that aren’t familiar with internet movies or live TV. Well now I have to send it back and continue with my CABLE THAT I HAVE CAUSE I GET WHAT I WANT AND I CAN WATCH LIVE TV WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS AND GET ALL STATIONS WITHOUT PROBLEMS.
I also returned my Roku Ultra 4K HD unit because of mis-information from the on air host and “expert” presenter. Like other people have stated, the presenters make you think it is just plug it in and get all of the thousands of movies, etc for free or close to everything. That is a total lie. They also do not tell you that you have to have a pretty strong WIFI signal in order to get any kind of a decent picture. The set up is a pain, and the stuff that is actually free is terrible. Almost anything good to watch you have to pay for. I sent a real scathing e-mail to customer service about the lack of information and misleading information the on air hosts were giving to customers. I did notice that on one of the latest pitches for the Roku, the “expert” mentioned “in passing” that you have to pay for quite a few things, but still said it so fast you would probably miss that she barely said that. I sent mine back one day after setting it up, and told my co-workers to forget about that system. The other thing that really irks me is the fact that on ANY electronic device you purchase from HSN does NOT come with their EZ RETURN LABEL. All they give you is a return address sticker, and you have to go to the post office or UPS and pay thru the nose to return their electronics. The ironic thing is that you WILL get an EX RETURN LABEL to send back a flame less candle, or any other item that they carry.
@bird2157, I agree with you. I got one of the earlier Rokus. I’m not real tech savvy so it was very confusing for me. I went back to cable also. Much easier for me to work with.
Probably ok for people who are good with electronic gadgets.
