Do you use antivirus, spam protection on your IPad?
Just curious. If so, recommendations please.
There was a time that Apple products were virtually virus- and malware-proof, but no longer.
Macintosh computers, iPads, and iPhones have become targets of virus and malware attacks recently; even though iTunes and their App Store does closely filter all apps, there are other ways malicious software can be filtered into these devices. Bottom line is, I recommend an antivirus/antimalware program be installed on any computer, tablet, and phone that connects to the internet.
As for a recommendation, everyone with an opinion likes certain ones and dislike others. I like free programs–they offer basic protection with minimal footprint and invasiveness on my devices. My recommendation is do a web search for free antivirus programs for your particular device, pick one, and install it.
Thanks, FedExGuy. Times are changing. I am exploring options for our Apple computers and devices.
I have many apple products including 3 different iPads I update occasionally when new ones come out. I never used anti virus on iPad iPhones or laptops for years. Apple updates any problem almost immediately with corrections.
