Difference between 2 HP Laptops
Just as I was about to ask the forum about both computers offered, I read all the specs again and finally realized the difference between the two..(which is obvious in the large type above the product photo). Yeah, that’s a “Duh” from me.
Both are HP Pavilion 17.3″ LED, Intel Quad-Core, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD Windows 10 Laptop with Software and Services.
Product # 452-529 is $629.95, Product # 447-492 is $699.95
A $70 difference for what I originally thought was the same product, but after yet another study of all specs and features, I realized that everything is virtually the same except that the cheaper HP offers lifetime live tech support with no touchscreen.
The more expensive computer offers a touchscreen, but no lifetime tech support.
Any ideas over which is the better buy? $70 less for tech support but no touchscreen?
I feel the touchscreen is extremely important, (and fun) and I am surprised that lifetime tech support would be so much less expensive.
I suppose I would go for the touchscreen, as I feel that tech sujpport often changes. Foir instance, instead of a person, you get an email “chat”, or you call and hear: “Your waiting time is currently 55 minutes.”
Any ideas on which computer you all feel is the better purchase?
Let’s face it, both products are great deals, just curious which feature is more important to others.
Thanks

Ahhhh….that’s an easy one for me! If you like using the touchscreen, go for that!!! Vtec is awful! My issues are much more than having to wait for a while. They haven’t helped with anything. They messed up my Son’s computer a few times and just told us we could do a factory reset. Yeah. That’s no big deal after he has all his programs, etc. on it.
They say that Vipre isn’t good and will try and sell you Defender Pro, which I fell for as I was so frustrated. It cost me $300 for a lifetime with 2 licenses. It’s junk. I bought a computer with their support also for myself and the tech kept couldn’t even help me get online. He kept saying what I was seeing on my screen couldn’t be possible. I could go on and on about this horrible company but there’s my answer. Bait and switch! They want to SELL you something or you’re wasting their time.
