Big push to sell Beats
Why is HSN pushing the selling of Beats? everytime I look Beats are either TS or being showed on TV. I wonder who is the average buyer for these? I am over 40 and dont buy headphones, if I did it would be a lot cheaper quality and price. Who are they aiming at buying these ?
I STILL don’t understand why ALL the other earbuds get all caught into a big ball…but the Beats don’t.
DAZED—–Thanks for that info—–if true then NOT FOR ME—-yikes-BB
I would never buy anything associated with Dre. He’s a misogynist, and violently attacked a woman named Dee Barnes. This line is way overpriced anyway.
I’ve shopped beats. Awful! I’ll stick to Bose. There’s a reason the sound link mini is rated better than the beats pill. As far as headphones, my bestie was about to buy beats for his 12 year old. I talked him into buying her a set of Bose headphones.
I’m not a headphone fan in the house but I spend a lot of time at the beach and I don’t want to hear everyone else’s music. Not to mention traveling. They have their place for sure.
HSN probably paid a lot for rights to sell them. Now, they have to sell them. I think they are over-rated and over-valued. I would never pay more than $20 for Any headphones. But, I’ve never liked headphones. I never wanted to hear my music through headphones. I always thought music and sound was meant to be heard in the ‘open air’. In one way it sounds better through headphones, but I think it also Loses something.
In my day, you could only be seen with Nike shoes….I begged and begged. 🙂
Beats do very well with the very young and the young. I was observing with amusement- couldn’t quite contain my laughter too – a spoiled female brat of about 10 (?) loudly demanding them from her Mom in a Target (WalMart? don’t remember) going "but MOOOOOOOOMMM!!!! EVERYBODY has them!" and whining so pathetically- hence the hard sell. Because "MOOOOOm!" will give in and buy them the same way she gives in and buys iPads and iPhones.
There is a reason Apple snapped them up! Apple for the last decade or so have evolved in an extremely savvy marketer who manages to capture public imagination so completely with super expensive and technically mediocre products that no other – better!- product can make it through anymore.
I AGREE 100%—–You said just what I wanted to say—-THANK YOU !
