401-781 Almond Router
I don’t see how you can use this as a router to replace the one supplied by my cable provider when the input cable is not ethernet type (but RG6? type coax)…??
I think you’re correct. This router is not a cable modem, so you wouldn’t be able to use it to replace your existing modem or combination modem/router. You can only use it along with your modem as a range extender or wireless router. There’s a product manual link on the item’s page, so it should give more details.
The coax goes into your modem’s input. The ethernet cable connects from the modem’s output to the router’s input.
Thanks for your support Linda. I am shocked at some of the additives they put in these things. No wonder I’m still edgy & craving 9 days into the fight. I have taken only a few hits of the E-cig, but it gives me a warped kind of comfort knowing there is nicotine in the house, and that it will save me from smoking the real thing.
