2-pack of Fire 7" Quad-Core 16GB Alexa-Enabled Tablets with 2 Cases and Online Services Vouchers
Anyone order and get this? I have questions but not sure where to go to get quick answers to know if I will keep or return. It is an Amazon product so it is not Google friendly? Downloaded the google keyboard but it doesn’t show up on Keyboard options – just default keyboard. The default keyboard does not have a voice icon – a deal breaker for me. I’m not looking for a tablet to read books, shop. I want a small tablet like this to read emails, text, browse web, check my calendar, etc. It has to have a voice icon!
jenns04gt, the Spin2Win game produced a lot of coupons that members posted and shared in this thread. These coupons have since expired, but Spin2Win Arcade will return again later next month, so please play and check back for more chances to save.
In the mean time, you can check the current COUPONS, with this link, or by searching coupons on HSN, at any time.
not vivofit, but garmin vivosmart!
I would recommend calling the customer service/technical support number or doing an online search for garmin vivosmart issues. I just did a short search and it looks like it doesn’t work with every device.
Also, whenever I have had problems with any electronic device and asked a teenager, théy have älways figured it out rather quickly! I received a chromecast for Christmas and after an hour still didn’t have it figured out. My daughter came home and had it loaded in about 10 minutes.
Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.
So true about the teens and tech! :smileyhappy:
Called the 1 800 number and they said it was not on this device. Back it goes.
I currently own a couple of Kindles and do like them. I am able to check my e-mail. And yes I can go on-line if I so wish. Amazon uses a round globe called silk as an icon and is your browser for the web. It has a calendar in which you can check your appointments. But, sorry to say, it is not an Apple. The Alexa voice you are looking for is in the cloud of this new tablet and I wish mine had it as well. As far as a keyboard is concerned, the Amazon one that is part of your tablet is so easy to use that I don’t think you would need something like a Belkin. My husband has a tablet as well and he has no problems accessing the web or for reading e-mail and his fingers are larger and wider than mine.
The Kindles I have all came from HSN. The first one is an HDX which is no longer made by Amazon. I have last year’s model 8″ tablets which were the same price as the new ones today. You are actually getting a better deal. The 2 kindles last year only had 8gb with a capacity of 128gb with a micro sd card. And, yes, it comes with a front and back camera and the pictures are good.
At one time I had the Google Nexus, however, the battery died one day shy of a year. It was still under warranty and Google and ASUS would not honor a replacement battery or a new tablet. At least HSN and Amazon will work with you on these. However, if it’s voice you want, then I would look at the Apple. They are the only product I know of that does come with Siri and an Icon for her.
Can anyone tell me if you need to switch over to flight mode for planes and does this have it My regular Kindle does have this switch.
Another thing is the Kindle is not an android tablet which means you are limited to Kindle/Amazon store for apps.
You can not access the Google Play Store or download .apk files.
If you like Amazon, read books, cruise the internet, send emails but don”t care about Google Play Store then this would be a good alternative
Kindle does have an airplane mode.
I found the Kindle store to be OK. I use the google store/play on my desktop rather than wanting to take up space on either a tablet or android. As far as reading books on Kindle it’s great, but in reality there is nothing like one that you can hold in your hand. I basically use Kindle to read at night rather than turn on the lamp next to the bed.
I received my order and have not been able to get Alexa’s voice. I think I followed instructions which said go to HOME button, hold down until a Blue light completes the line. Nothing is happening. If anyone has Fire Kindle, could you please give me a clue on how to turn her on?
