Whirlpool LED Lights Today’s Special 459443
I purchased two of the Whirlpool LED Lights with more on autoship. They arrived today. On the side of the box there is a caution about using lightbulbs in an enclosed fixture. "Cautions- not suitable for use in totally enclosed luminaires (fixtures)." I bought with the intent of using them in my enclosed ceiling fixtures. After reading this, I went back to look on your website to make sure I didn’t misunderstand the presentation. If you look at features it states "Versatile- Can be used anywhere indoors that you’d use traditional incandescent or CFL bulbs." I watched the video on the product page and at approximately 8 minutes 11 seconds you a lady changes a regular lightbulb to a Whirlpool LED light on an enclosed ceiling light fixture. Since this is printed on the box as a caution, I am hesitant to use on my enclosed ceiling fixtures. This is something that should have been told to us during the presentation. Because your website product information and the video contradict the caution warning on the box, what will happen if I use them in an enclosed fixture? Will I void the manufacturer’s limited 5 year warranty? I have called and left a message on the voice mail system at ETI Solid State Lighting which is the company who warranties the bulbs. Please advise.
Saw an ad on tv for A-C-E hardware..60 watt LED’s were $2.99 each.It was another Major brand
Thank you, Sarah. If what is printed on the box is correct, the presentation, the product video and information on HSN’s website is misleading. If I keep the bulbs and one blows out because I used it in an enclosed fixture, I don’t want them to say I voided the warranty. Furthermore, I don’t know if it is a fire hazard using them in an enclosed fixture like the one on your video. These are expensive bulbs and I bought them because of the life span.
Hi ! I’m sorry for the concern with these. We wouldn’t have the info on what voids the warranty since it varies on items, only the warranty company would have that. However, I’ll see what info I can find about using these in an enclosed fixture from our buyers and respond back here once I hear back.
