Warranties on electronics
New customer here. Purchased the 2pk tablets and the 2pk drones with warranties. But I can’t find nothing about the warranties and what they cover. Are they replacement plans? And can it only be used once? I got the 2 year plan if that matters. I just want to make sure I didn’t waste 40.00 for something to break and have someone tell me oh it’s not covered or something. Thanks
Your warranty is through HP and covers all spills, cracks, hinges etc. On the sale site it’s under the Software section. As long as you have all the pieces, I was told they would fix it. The extended warranty is through Square Trades and you should have received an e-mail stating this as I did. I have been arguing with Customer Service for a few days over the fact that the sales rep I ordered through lied to me about the warranties overlapping. I specifically asked if the two year extended warranty overlapped the first year that comes with the 2 pack and was told a definite no, twice. I was assured that it was a total of three years of coverage for spills, breaks, damages for the entire laptop. These people don’t know what they’re talking about. They sent me return e-mails with misinformation and I had to correct them on their answers. I had it escalated to a Supervisor, only to be told that they are “sorry for the confusion”, with wording seeming as though I am the one mistaken/confused. The ultimate ending was they do offer a 3 yr plan which still overlaps the first year, but it’s only $45 more on the package. Finally this one told me I could call and cancel the 2 yr plan and buy the 3 yr plan. Think I can do that through Square Trades, myself anyways. So tired of being ripped off. Make sure you register you units with Square Trades and keep the receipt, even if it’s in your e-mail.
Hope you are able to get any answers or replies when you have any problem with your purchase because I can’t get any. If anything goes bad before manufacturers warranty is up I can’t find out how to or where to send (1) of the 4 tablets I bought in July 2017. I bought a 3 yr plan on each of the 4 I bought.
So we are probably just out the money. But it won’t happen again, not to me
