Visa Checkout $20 Off Issue
Anyone else have this issue? It showed up correct all the way to the end of the order, and right after I placed the order, the coupon disappeared. Customer service said on the phone two different things. In the end they refunded me the $20 but not the tax so my total order price still doesn’t reflect what I agreed to when I submitted my order.
Thanks in advance.
Hello, I placed an order for 2 Amazon Echo Dots, and they were supposed to come with two vouchers. These vouchers were each supposed to each have 3 months Amazon Music Unlimited, 2 months Audible, 2 months History Vault, and a Day in History skill. I did get these vouchers, but I can only use one of them according to Amazon on my account. This was not mentioned anywhere on your site when I purchased this. This basically means I didn’t get what I thought I was getting when I placed my order. Each month of Amazon Music Unlimited is worth $8 so this means I’m not getting $24 (at a minimum) worth that I was expecting. What are the best options at this point to make this right? Thanks, Sean.
@sclawrenc, according to our records, your order was just sent to our warehouse for shipping this morning, June 1. We don’t actually settle charges for an order until the item is shipped so you should see the charges go from authorized to completed once the item ships out. As soon as the order ships, we’ll be sure to notify you via email with your tracking information so you can monitor the status of the order on its way to you.
I’m having another issue that I’m hoping you can help me with. My order has showed as “processing” for quite a while now. This is not normal for my credit card company, and everything shows up fine on their end. This will only end up delaying my order even further. In the days of quick shipping and 2-3 day deliveries, this is a bit much.
Why the long processing delay?
@sclawrenc I’m sorry to hear this gave you some trouble. I have forwarded your feedback about what happened when you tried to order to our technical teams as well as our Visa Checkout partners so they can look into what caused the issue. Taxes are collected by your state and so we can not change those, but I do see we discounted the $20.00 for the coupon. I’m sorry we couldn’t assist more.
Thanks Sarah. I understand tax has to be collected on the purchase price, and I understand that there was a mistake on the HSN visa Checkout option. My issue is HSN can refund whatever dollar amount they want, and it doesn’t have to be marked as tax, but they wouldn’t.
In the end, my total showed $87 something, but now it will end up being $89 something. I know it’s only $2, but it’s the principle. the full $22 could have been refunded off the price of the item even if tax couldn’t be modified as HSN states. Clearly this issue isn’t the customers fault and after 2 phone calls, a chat and a post, HSN should uphold the original purchase priced I agreed to.
Just my opinion…
