Very disappointed and getting more upset by the day
I haven’t been an HSN customer for long at all, but had planned on a long relationship since trying SSC’s Glycolic Cleanser.
I opened an account through Comenity and was given a four digit credit limit. I placed a few orders and even tried to order a new laptop…..several times. However, HSN canceled any Easy Pay purchases I tried to make (not sure why, I never received the promised "letter") so I just put the whole thing on the card, no biggie. After five days of no movement, I canceled. I changed my mind on screen size and ordered a different laptop, a purse and some cosmetics.
Well low and behold I get an email telling me that all of my orders were canceled. I call HSN and they connect me to Comenity’s Fraud Department. I was told, exact quote here, that "the lady at HSN had contacted Comenity about my orders and that due to all do the cancelations, my account looked fraudulent". I explained the situation that two of the orders were canceled by HSN and one by myself. The gentleman told me that I had to go through an "account verification" process for my account with Comenity to be reinstated.
The very next day, I sent, via USPS Express Mail, some very personal documents and information. It has been sitting on their desk for THREE weeks now and I’m being told they haven’t gotten to it yet. They’re back logged. How many HSN accounts are being reported as fraudulent by HSN exactly? Do you guys have a quota to meet or something?
I’ve already made two payments on my account and although I know that ultimately, Comenity will be the ones responsible for reinstating my account, I feel like I have been done dirty by HSN when the main reason for the cancelations was them.
I’m debating on wether I even want to shop here again or not. I can use another credit card or my bank account, but that’s not the point. Putting my account on hold and making me jump through hoops to prove I’m me, is above and beyond "looking out for the customer". If Comenity thought well enough of me to give me that card and the limit they did, who was HSN to jeopardize that rather than just call me to verify a purchase….like Discover does,
I’ve got a very bitter HSN taste in my mouth right now.
