The "holiday" is CHRISTMAS
That annoying woman on now 8 am hour eastern just puked out “holiday” about 9 times in less than a minute. Why are your hosts avoiding “CHRISTMAS” as if it’s a dirty word? ENOUGH with the “holiday holiday holiday” idiocy it’s enough to really anger people who aren’t radical Liberals hell bent on the fundamental transformation of our traditional America that we grew up in. CHRISTMAS offends nobody exept crazed Liberals and Muslims. You should focus on all those CHRISTMAS shopper showering you with mad ammounts of their CHRISTMAS shopping money. STOP IT WITH THAT DEPRESSING “HOLIDAY” GARBAGE.
“THE” HOLIDAY IS CHRISTMAS.
After all of the ugliness over the last 18 months in this country, why does it need to spill over onto a shopping community board? We are a diverse country full of people of different faiths, ethnicities, etc. Saying “Happy Holidays” is all-inclusive which is what America is all about–freedom to be who and what you are. Yes, you are entitled to your opinion, as I am entitled to mine. But to call out “radical anti Christian crazed ‘Lierals'” is extreme and you are taking a very broad brush to a lot of people that you don’t actually know anything about. There is no place for hate or rhetoric in this country and especially at this time of year, these kinds of messages aren’t doing anyone a service. As the Christian you say you are, perhaps spending some time in worship to discuss or pray over your frustrations might be good for you and a way to find some kindess and tolerence in your own heart as God calls us all to do.
it is simply ONE of the many holidays millions of Americans celebrate in the next few months. And some folks aren’t celebrating any holiday but simply like shopping. Not excluing customers who are not shopping for Christmas is a widely accepted practice in most retail and service establishments across this nation and has been for decades. It’s an INCLUSIVE term.
It appears you personally celebrate Christmas, so have yourself a merry one… look for the nice things this season often makes people feel and try being tolerant of other people doing the same.
This post is silly and clearly shows the poster does not understand that during this time period (starting after Halloween and ending in early January), multiple holidays are celebrated by people of various backgrounds.
Yes, Christmas is the biggest one in this country, but it starts with Sukkot (some years), going into Thanksgiving, Eid (some years), Advent, Solstice, Hanukah, Christmas, New Years, Epiphany, and Orthodox C/hristmas — just to name a few. There is nothing political about wishing someone “Happy Holidays,” and this greeting has been common for more than 50 years (do you remember the song “Happy Holidays”?).
This was never an issue until a certain “news” network decided to make it one a few years ago to rile its viewers, and (unfortunately) many people due to lack of education and understanding have fallen for it.
Good tune, Deeklez!
