Can someone please explain why HSN charges taxes for my State?
I called customer service in regards to this matter. I was told we got an email that says we’re supposed to charge tax. That does not answer my question.
Does HSN have an office in my State?
I order a lot more from Amazon and Evine because they don’t charge me taxes. I doubt they are breaking the law.
And please don’t tell me to check with my State. I would consider that to be a blow off answer.
The question is simple, and it deserves a response.
I am still waiting for a response.
I don’t think the point was missed. 😞
I got a blow off answer from the HSN Customer Service Representative. “We got an email July 1st that we have to charge everyone taxes.” I asked who is we? I did not receive an email nor was notification of being charged taxes posted on the HSN website! 😤😠😡😡
Part of the glory of online shopping is no taxes.
How is that other online retailer’s are still not charging taxes but HSN is?
I doubt Amazon and Evine are breaking the law.
Does HSN have a presence in my State?
Why is HSN charging me tax when Evine and Amazon do not charge me tax?
I want a genuine answer. I don’t want to hear because we’re supposed to, or check with your State. I have already heard these two responses from customer service.
Krissy missed your point that your state does NOT have sales tax. HSN is shady with tax. During tax free weeks or weekends for those of us who have them in August, HSN charged everyone tax. We were told “don’t worry the tax will drop off after midnight “. Of course this did not happen for anyone and unless you were relentless calling after delivery no adjustment was made. This is not the first time this has happened either. This does not happen with ANY other retailer. I’ll be interested to see if you get an answer here. I almost wonder if the question is being intentionally misinterpreted.
Yes, I know all about the email that was sent on July 1st to HSN employees in regards to charging taxes. HSN Customer service already told me about it.
The email was NOT my question.
