Surepost Problems with Packages not Received
USPS SurePost tracking shows that two boxes were placed in my mailbox this week. One was an HSN order with a necklace and a Deb Guyot bracelet. The other was a direct shipment from Heidi Daus that contained two Easter sale pins that I was anxious to receive. The necklace was a birthday gift for my granddaughter. Other packages arrived safely including a Colleen Lopez jacket and some dog food. Interesting that only jewelry was not received.
Needless to say, I am not happy. Normally I pay the extra shipping for Expedited service with UPS and never have a problem but the HSN order contained a backordered item and SurePost was the only option.
I spent an hour on hold with USPS last night but before that I had to track the packages after calling UPS for the second USPS tracking number. USPS closed before I could speak to them and I’ve been on hold for an hour already today waiting to convey my displeasure.
Also, I called HSN Customer Service this morning. Jim from CS couldn’t have been nicer. The necklace is sold out unfortunately. And I spoke with Susie from Heidi’s office who was wonderful as usual. One of the pins is sold out. Then there was the call to my credit card company to start a dispute. Whew, all of this has taken an inordinate amount of time. Three hours so far.
Moral of my story…I will never buy something that requires SurePost again. That means nothing on waitlist. Nothing. I will ask other vendors to ship via UPS and will pay the difference. I’m hoping that my usual mailperson is on vacation and will return soon!
