SPIN TO WIN QUESTION
I just received 100 tickets today for SPIN TO WIN yet you look at the scores for that game today there has to be someone who got points like I did, then why is that score not showing? Just wondering I looked the other day and same thing when i received 250 points or tickets
@debbie59, Spin 2 Win isn’t scored. You get tickets for getting matches but there is technically no score for the game.
Happy for you Benihana! I tried to use it but a rep wrote me that it wasn’t valid because I was ordering a sale item.
My greatest frustration with 12 inch paper trimmers is not getting a straight cut. Some less expensive trimmers I have tried look like they will cut even a single sheet straight, but somehow the paper shifts during the cut or the cutting arm bends and I get a slant rather than a good 90 degree angle. For this reason, I lean towards the heavier cutters, which don’t seem to have that much "shift" while cutting. Right now I use the Fiskars rotary, which I don’t think you can score with…a tleast I’ve never seen a refill at the store for scoring.
Have you tried Martha Stewart’s score board or the ScorePal? I have MS’s scoreboard and love it. But then, you will have two items to lug around instead of one that will cut and score. Hmmmm.
seababe, I just asked in a post if HSN will be selling the Crafter’s Companion 5in1 Paper Trimmer. I hope you keep an eye out for the answer before you buy a new trimmer. This looks like it might be a good trimmer. It says it has 4 built in easy to switch interchangable blades. It also has a 5 sheet cutting capacity. I have done absolutely no research on this though. I came across the link on Facebook and it took me to their uk site. Happy Crafting, Possum29
Oh good Possum came here and joined in I am very glad.:smileyhappy:
Possum has it and can explain it better then I can.
Sorry to hear about the arthritis. Now I would think it would be a bit difficult for you to push down on a guillotine style cutter. I am a sage myself and I think I have it in my hips.
I do have that sure cut by fiskar. I got it cause it was on the cheap. It is cheap ha ha. However I do like fiskar. I myself and not really crazy about the wire and blade set up. Lots of times I have to cut off some small bit that it left behind. I use it to cut laminated card stock. I make up the design on card stock then laminate and then cut it off with my fiskar sure cut.
I mentioned somewhere around here about my scan n cut being able to score paper. I did give it a try and yes it did do it. I also sized my paper down to a card size and it cut it to that width and length and then ran a score down the center of it. I pulled it off of the mat and It did get a good fold from it. It also has small card shapes inside the design section of my scan n cut.
I also just but a piece of paper on the mat then went in for one of the score folds and just ran it down the center of the 8.5×11 printer copy paper and got a good fold from that too.
Check out the recommendations that Possum has left here for you. I think they are good.:smileyhappy:
I did like the Martha Stewart one myself for cutting and scoring.
Your HSN friend,
Hi seababe, You have a great helper in CupaTea, and I hope I can be of some help as well. I wanted a cutter to cut several sheets of cardstock to have on hand for my 5×7 and A2 embossing folders. The trimmer I bought was a guillotine style. It has an arm with the blade that you pull down to cut. It says it will cut 30 sheets of 20 lb paper. since most cardstock is 80lb paper I have only test cut up to 7 at a time so far.I haven’t really made the time to try it out properly. It is also large and bulky and the one I bought does not have a paper guide( the one here on HSN does) and I miss that. It does have a plastic guard( the one here on HSN doesn’t have this) that protects your fingers and you press down on to hold your paper as you cut, which I like. The one I bought and the one here are both Westcott brand. However,It did not come with an extra blade, but it says titanium bonded will stay sharper longer. During my research I did come across good reviews for Carl brand(item no. 744-753) and Tonic brand(item no.114-3434 w/3 blades) trimmers. They both have trimmers here on HSN(l’ve added the item no.s after each one) and the Carl has replacement blades(item no.111-2055) for sale also. Martha Stewart has a trimmer/scorer (item no.112-3788) which should be easy to find replacement blades for, since she is in most craft stores, but I don’t know about how long these type blades last and the arthritis you mentioned in the wrmk post may make changing the blade difficult. It can be overwhelming to the point you just have to say o.k. this is it. I like my cutter so far and will post more after I’ve devoted more time to it. Good Luck in finding the one that’s right for you. Your Friend Possum29
I have not see ones that also score. I know of several paper cutter/ trimmers Fiskar, fellows, wescott.
Some come with additional blades or some come with self sharping blades.
Have you checked over at the store with the name of a river in south America, or have you shoped at the big box store that starts like this Stapl.
I know Possum29 got one a wescott at the store with the south American river name store. It was 12 ich and I think it came with extra blades. It was a very reasonable price. I will be back I will go look for one for you.
