Seriously, what does it take to place an order?
This is very lone. SUMMARY: Someone or something is preventing my from shopping at HSN. REQUESTED CONCLUSION: Be able to shop at HSN, and particularly to resolve the order status that is now "Pending" in my account.
Full Story, as bedt I can describe:
I have not been able to order from HSN for several weeks. I got angry at the way I was treated and asked to have my account closed. Although it was supposedly going to be done, that never happened. I had two more unuccessful account closure calls and chats with HSN, but when it was all over, I still had the ability to shop.
Apparently, I was preordained to shop here. So, I decided to buy some scrapbooking supplies, as I assumed nobody would question an innocent purchase of things like rhinestones. But no, problems once again. The rhinestone purchase led to the discovery that something was up, and, as I later learned, my card was being declined despite thousands in available credit. It turns out all the weird transactions (HSN’s continual cancellation of my iMac orders, and my continual attempts to order an iMac while obliviouis to the fact that HSN has decided I can’t buy one, even when paying in full) had raised the security alarm and put a hold on my account. But after I learned of Comenity’s hold, it was easy to sort out. I had to answer a couple security questions and explain the dozen or so incomplete iMac purchases..
As a side note, I wasn’t made aware of the cc decline on the rhinestone order until days after it happened. I called Comenity in response to a phone call and was told I was all set. But, when I did receive that emai from HSN, I noticed that someone had changed me last name to something similar to my last name, but horribly misspelled. There is no way that was a typo on my end. And I didn’t speak to anyone when I placed the order, so someone definitely looked at the order and changed my name. This is very upsetting, and I request that it be addressed as a serious issue. I would like to be told, in writing, signed by a supervisor or above, scanned and sent to my email, the following, plus any other information you discovert that might be helpful: who changed my name, why it was done, and what personal information may, by this time, been transmitted to potentially countless people )
So, I went to place an order and it wouldn’t go through. A red message popped up and said I had to call CS because my order had issues. I called CS, and they said my credit card was declining. Magically, it went through just fine when the lender was on the phone. I was told the status would change from processing to something else once things switched over at midnight. Nothing changed, and I also never received a confirmation email. I do have order numbers though, obviously, and the amount is being held on my credit card. The order number is 1212194502.
I gave HSN another chance. Even after I left, came back, figured out and sorted out all the problems, got my credit card straightened, talked to security numerous times, paid off a past due balance for someone that used to live at this address years ago, and went through hoops for you guys, I still don’t know if I can even shop here. I have been working with computers for 35 years, and have been online since the late 1980s, so this isn’t a matter of me being a little confused. I seem to be prevented at every curve – especially with the weird spelling of my last nane that certainly wasn’t done by me. (Now I can’t even be sure my account info isn’t compromised by someone there.)
Also, can someone please look at my order and tell me…
Am I going to receive this order, or is shopping on HSN just a pipe dream? I am a good customer, and had several hassle-free orders until I tried to buy the Mac I ended up paying a lot less for at the Apple Store. But I really just want to get my scrapbooking stuff with no more phone calls to Customer Service and other departments. I’ve done more that enough of that for you guys,
Where is there phone number?
Am I take this to mean that you took a look at my order history, and the one placed on 4/3 is also not verified? And is there anyone in any department I can talk to over the weekend. This is starting to feel hopeless.
