SCA Untrustworthy – Need Refund
After calling SCA w my question, I would like a refund for the SCA Retinol Capsules I purchased, even though it has been more than 30 days. I am livid.
Me: “Why is your retinol not yellow, when retinol is naturally yellow?”
SCA: “I have no idea.”
Me: “One of your competitors at HSN states that if ur retinol product is not yellow, then there is no retinol, bc retinol cannot be bleached.”
SCA: “OHH, what competitor???”
Me: “Beauty Bioscience”
SCA: “Well our Retinol Capsules r clear, and our 5 Essentials w/Retinol is white. I would have to ask a chemist. Can I call u back?”
She calls back.
SCA: “They told me the retinol is not yellow bc they don’t add any dye.”
Me: “Okayyy. That doesn’t answer my question.”
SCA: “Well, I don’t know. Maybe I didn’t ask them the right way. U know, there r other ingredients in our retinol products.”
Me: “So there is so little retinol that the other ingredients wash away all traces of yellow?”
SCA: “Can I call u back next week?”
I doubt the color has a whole lot to do with it..I may be wrong but anything with enough retinoids in it to matter much would need a prescription…Retinol is just a form of Vitamin A and it can help but not very strong.As far as the color other products may add color to make it look more yellow.Even other ingredients could cause the color to be darker.
A lot of people answer questions on this forum especially if its in regard to something they know about.As for the refund that is totally up to HSN to make an exception but I haven’t seen or heard on here about anyone getting a refund past the 30 day time frame..If they start that everyone will start sending skin care products back that they are not happy with.In my opinion almost all skin care products are hyped up way beyond what they can actually do.
I find this unbelievable. The time to ask questions was BEFORE you made the purchase rather than 2 1/2 months later. As far as the color, you are relying on things you heard on television. You have absolutely no knowledge on this subject, and you have proceeded to turn a mountain into a mole hill.
The rep who gave you a refund h clelarly violated company policy, and he may end up be reprimanded (or worse) because of you. Good job!
I am sorry to hear they haven’t been able to answer this question for you yet. Unfortunately since this was ordered on 05/21/2016, we would not be able to accept it back for a refund. I did go ahead and send an email over to our buyers to see if they can locate an answer for this question for you. I’ll respond here once they let me know what they find out.
