Returns Super Slow Now – Is it just me?
The last 2 returns I’ve sent back have taken about 3 weeks to reach HSN. I noticed now that the return packing slip has an option of returning it either thru USPS post office (which uses UPS Mail Innovations) or I have the option of dropping it off at a UPS store. Since the post office is more convenient I have chosen that option and it has taken a REALLY long time before it is even scanned for tracking. The package sits at the post office a good week or more before it is ever transfered to the shipping agent. I’m wondering if this is just a problem with my city or if anyone else has experienced this recently. I’ve wondered if maybe it was because of weather delays but I haven’t experienced any delays in receiving shipments I’ve purchases from other online stores. I get most things within 3 or 4 days. But HSN returns have become incredibly slow because of the increased handling time by the post office and UPS Mail Innovations. And it bothers me that tracking isn’t being updated. I’m going to start taking the extra time to go to the UPS store to drop off my return and see if it speeds up the process. Or I will start returning it myself and just pay for the return and skip using the easy returns label. I purchase a lot of clothing from HSN and it is very difficult to get sizing right. I don’t think the problem is with HSN so much as it is with the shipping agent. I’ve purchased from HSN for many years and I’ve been a very loyal customer and I’ve always been impressed with their customer service. I just feel like this new change this year for Easy Returns has not made it easy. It’s made it much more of a worry and a hassle.
I have the same problem using the USPS Label provided. It takes over a month from Hawaii, still has not arrived. I keep tracking it. These Easy Returns are a pain! I do not need that stress!
I am experiencing this very thing now and was SO worried that my return package had been lost because of no tracking information showing for several days. There is still nothing showing in the HSN tracking area. I went directly to USPS.com and there is no local scan info of my package from my city. The first scan info showing was done in a city North of me 5 days after it was picked up from me. It’s a bit nerve-racking especially when you’re so close to your deadline return date.
I agree. It takes forever when dropped off or picked up by USPS and half the time when going by UPS the whole way. Then it days 2 -4 days once it arrives for them to open and credit it back.
You are not the only one. I have noticed too, how much longer it takes now to receive the email regarding HSN received a Return. Before i saw Motion within Days. Now i see more two Weeks and longer to get a Notice. I used USPS and UPS and did not see a difference. I can track the Parcels and see when picked up by HSN. However the Returnprocess is taking longer then before. Maybe because all the Christmas Exchanges and Return, is the Reason. That said, i hope this is the only Explaination i accept for now.
Hi , we have not had a widespread problem with returns dropped off at post offices. Have you contacted your local post office about the delay? I want your returns to be as convenient as possible and have reported this concern to our fulfillment team.
