Returning Hamilton Beach Searing Grill- Dangerous to gift -Expect refund
Item # 443-419 is being returned as it is dangerous to use as designed, and I cannot gift this item.
Upon real close HSN consumer inspection I and others noticed the top portion of the grill which should get broiling hot when in use and lifted open, would have the bottom area of the top grill cover directly resting on the counter top, and the electrical cord would also get hot from the searing temperature of the grill, and the grilling condensation which could develop would drip down over the electrical cord.
As a consumer I reported this to HSN customer service and they agreed and stated I should mark it as defective, and they also waived the return charges. It will go back using the UPS Ground prepaid return label, and now I cannot gift this as I originally planned.
