Question about return policy and also warranty choices
First of all – I bought a family all in one computer for Christmas … according to return policy and such, should I go through the efforts of setting it up and making sure there is no malfunction or problem so that I can have the availabilty of the return policy by HSN. I would prefer to keep it boxed and new looking – but then by the time its opened Christmas morning … HSN won’t return it without issue anymore – correct? 2nd question – I did not buy the extended warranty because the package itself includes lifetime of HP support – in fact, at presentation time – the HP guy made it sound like if it fell off counter or got wet, somehow accidentally damaged – HP would make good on this and fix it at no charge or give me a new computer at its value. The cust service person made it sound like the HP support site only would cover software issues. I know I have a window of time that I can stil purchase the HSN extendend warranty that would definitely cover us for that type of stuff. Anywone clarify and advise. Thanks!

These are great and very important questions! Regarding a return, our typical return policy is 30 days. However, for items purchased between 10/2 and 12/21, you will be able to return them to us no later than 01/31; under our Extended Holiday Return Policy. If the item was purchased prior to this date, the standard return policy will apply.
