More than likely never buying from here again.
So I heard about the Flex pay that HSN does and sounded great. So I looked for a TV and found one. Selected the Flex pay options went through with the order and completed it. A little later I get an email stating that the order got cancelled. No real explanation just cancelled. They already took the first payment out. I called to see what was going on and they told me the TV was not eligible for Flex pay. Now my problem is why would that be offered on the site? Why would it let me complete the order? Why would it take my money? if in all it was not eligible. The incompetence of this company is really sad.
Your 1st order using flexpay can not be for a big ticket item – i.e. TV, computer. Of course it’s these items that most customers want/need to use flex pay for. You first have to prove to HSN that you are responsible enough to pay. So need to start with an item you’d probably not use flexpay on and put it on flexpay.
I can respect that and I totally would get that. Why though would they take the 1st payment? Why would they let me order it that way? It shouldn’t be hard for them to set it up so these inconveniences don’t happen. This is not a good first impression.
I had many complaints about “easy returns” (which weren’t), substituting merchandise without authorization, etc. my main problems were not being credited correctly for returns and getting absolutely conflicting stories from customer service reps. Very incompetent and absolutely not customer service friendly. You’re lucky you didn’t have the flex pay go through; don’t expect to see a refund any time soon!
@thematt, I’m very sorry for any incorrect information you were provided. At this time we’re unable to process this order for you on FlexPay. This doesn’t mean you won’t be eligible for future FlexPay orders. The FlexPay department doesn’t provide much information regarding the reason they couldn’t process the order on FlexPay but you should get a letter within the next 10 days with more information. I’m sorry that there is an authorization hold for the amount we planned on taking. This should fall off in 3-5 days depending on your banks policy.
