WOW! I should have checked the HSN Community Board before I purchased Joy’s luggage set. Her infomercial on HSN is very convincing and makes her products look fabulous. Although I purchased the luggage in February, I didn’t take it out to use until the middle of June for my trip.
First of all, the “shelves” for the carry on and large piece of luggage are very cheaply made and the edging is defective, with the shelf (cardboard) showing through. Now, for the luggage! I packed for over two weeks and it was over 40lbs, but under the airline limit. That darn suitcase would not roll! The wheels would not track, together, and I had to kick the suitcase to get it moving and, even at that, it wouldn’t roll straight. I ended up having to PULL it by the handle. I worked at it getting the four wheels to track in the same direction, but they wouldn’t go! This is the worst piece of…. luggage I’ve ever owned! I had Samantha Brown’s and didn’t have this trouble. At least when I had an issue with one of her products (the packing cubes), they responded, immediately, and replace the product quickly. Kudos to them!
I first called HSN Customer Service and they told me to call Ingenious Designs, as they have a 10 year warranty on this luggage. they are NOT RESPONDING! This is ridiculous that you spend a lot of money for luggage and are “promised” satisfaction, and get NONE! I am highly disappointed with the purchase and the fact they ignore the complaints and not fulfilling their warranty guarantee.
Joy’s hangers weren’t good, either! Most of them have broken, right at the hook. Not worth the “special deal!”
