Inserting a LINK in a Post
I just tried inserting a LINK to a Post. As there is an ‘Insert/Edit Link’ Icon on the Formatting Bar, I thought the LINK would be acceptable… especially in light of the fact that I was inserting a LINK to an HSN Thread here in the Forums. In other words, an INTERNAL LINK, NOT an OUTSIDE LINK. Please explain why I was alerted to remove the INTERNAL LINK before my Post would actually Post. Thank you.
I’m a little confused on all of this as well and just asked a similar question.
I wanted to pull up a pair of boots to show ?, when we were talking about boots in another thread. HSN wouldn’t let me but I see others do it all the time.
This seems inefficent if a customer wants to provide a link to another HSN Thread or an item on the website. At QVC this is allowed and used quite often especially in linking to an item page. You can make it appear in a new browser window so when they have viewed the item you were talking about, they come right back to the discussion thread. HSN needs to lessen the restriction on this because at least at QVC, the member most often will purchase the item if a link is provided since people hate to have to go key in the item number and then lose their place in the community thread they were on.
, the moderators are happy to link HSN items to the product page. The link function is not operational for general use.
Too funny – love this! :womanlol:
