Improvements – no prepaid label – buyer beware,
Apparently Improvements does not participate in the prepaid label/returns. So, if you need to or want to return an Improvements product, you have to pay for the cost of returning it – even if it arrived damaged/opened/whatever. HSN does not have a mechanism to offer a prepaid label or to refund you the cost of returning it, even if you used your HSN card.
I purchased the recent TS Improvements ice maker on my HSN card. It arrived damaged and the box was open. I was told by a very nice but ultimately unhelpful HSN CSR that there was nothing that could be done. The video for this item is disabled now. But the CSR acknowledged that the hosts don’t discuss on air when items are not eligible for prepaid returns. This item will cost me at least $20 return shipping. At least! Of course this doesn’t account for the time it takes to wait on line at USPS or having to schlep this package over to USPS.
Im disappointed in hsn. They usually excel at offering solutions. Ultimately, my solution will be no longer purchasing any Improvements products and also, I suspect, more brick and mortar stores or stores with 100% consistent return policies with prepaid labels.

I purchased an icemaker from Improvements as well and it stopped making ice about 8 months later. Improvements gave me a return label and told me they would replace it under the a year warranty. Then once I returned it, they have me a gift card for less than what I paid for it when I wanted a new icemaker. So if I want a new icemaker, I’ll have to pay the difference of about $80.00 or so! This was my first purchase through HSN so I’m very unhappy about the product and service I’ve received from Improvements and HSN.
Hello . I am sorry to hear this arrived damaged, as well as for any misinformation you may have received. We do have a system in place to send out labels for most items. As such, I have requested we send you a pre-paid label which will arrive within the next 21 days. Once it arrives just use that to send this back to us and we will issue a full refund upon receipt.
