I Miss Playing Games
Ever since HSN decided to dis-enable Flash I haven’t been able to play games. Of course, since I no longer can play games, I also don’t get to see the feed of items on sale. This is saving me lots of money. Why they dis-enabled Flash when the Flash people will continue to support the application until the year 2000 is a mystery. I understand not waiting until the last minute, but 2 full years? Seems just a bit premature to me.
I have an ASUS chromebook. I have tried all the options suggested and none have worked. I can play 4 games, all HSN related but nothing else loads. My settings say Flash is installed and enabled. I can play games on CNN website. Same games, none HSN related. Worked fine up until recently when others reported having problems loading games. I am not a techie and have spent a lot of time trying to resolve this. Nothing has worked. Retried Trekky suggestion and managed to load PegLand. Will keep trying other games.
@excpa , I just did some reading up on Chromebooks….now I dont have one and the website I was reading was compaiiring Chrome OS to Windows 10 OS… according to this site, Chromebook will NOT play Flash games. Have no idea why yours says Flash is enabed….but it may be an older system or just using the CHrome browser which allows Flash.
But Edge also said Flash was enabled but it didnt have Flash in there. HSN and other websites have found a bypass for that.
Here is a copy of what I found:
Chrome OS is basically a big browser, so if you can run a program or play a game through a website, you can use it in Chrome. There’s no software download, but there is a decent array of apps. Keep in mind, however, that if a game requires Adobe Flash or a dedicated plugin, you won’t be able to use it in Chrome.
Chrome is a great browser that offers strong performance, a clean and easy-to-use interface, and a ton of extensions. But if you own a machine running Chrome OS, you better really like it, because there aren’t any alternatives. The Chrome browser on Chrome OS cannot run Flash or other important plugins, such as Java, meaning that sometimes, you will run into compatibility problems when trying to view certain websites or select extensions.
@excpa , HSN didnt disable flash, in fact they just renabled it for those of us that got the Creators Update on Edge.
Microsoft/Windows took Flash out of Edge to prepare for HTML5.
Go to Arcade, HELP, and click on #32.
A pop up will pop up (LOL) and ask if you want to allow Flash on this site ONE TIME ONLY or ALWAYS.
Click always and your flash will work on Edge providing you have Flash enabled.
If you are using a different browser like Chrome, make sure Flash is enabled….it has been disabling Flash all by itself.
i hear the newest version of Firefox will not allow Flash…not sure if Arcade, Help, #32 will work on that or not…..I hear older versions of Firefox still work.
Hope this helps you. If not, then do as HSN_Jordan suggested and give all the details of your device and maybe someone else can help.
@ TREKKY Thanks. Seems to have worked. Mysteries continue.
I’m sorry you are unable to play your games. We definitely want you to enjoy your arcade experience. Have you tried updating your browser and clearing your cache and cookies? Can you please share the specs of your system…ie, operating system. browser, mobile or PC. I would be glad to share your feedback with our Leadership Team.
