I am done purchasing items
I called HSN due to the trouble I have had on returning an item. I purchased two of TS joy mops, the bucket and the bags to wash them in. It was all purchased at the same time. The purple mop, pink bucket and bags arrived one day. Days later the pink mop arrived with the box open. The mop looks as though it had been used or something. No plastic covering on it and the box had no tape at the end to hold the mop in the box like the other one had. I purchased the pink mop and bucket and bags for a gift. Now I could not use this as a gift because of the way it was shipped. I have to finish making flex payments on it, and had to go to a local store to purchase another gift for this person. I am now out the funds for the Joy items along with the other gift and my time for that. Since, I have had back surgery and cannot get out to the UPS return. And UPS wants to charge for the carrier to come out to the house to pick it up. I live in the country and the Post office is two towns away. I found someone to take the items to the post office like HSN suggested, they will accept the mop, but not the bucket, they indicated the bucket has to be returned UPS. There is not a USPS option for the bucket. There is not a UPS drop off close by to take it to. After being on hold for over 10 min twice to discuss this with HSN, and over 10 min on hold with UPS, I am really done with HSN purchases now. Now I will have to call UPS out and pay 14.00 to have the bucket picked up, well lets see, the bucket cost 15.98 with shipping the first time. so the best option is to keep the bucket, even though HSN stated they would waive the return shipping. This does not a good financial option. So why does HSN not just call it a wash and refund my money instead of paying for the return charges. I will just call home office and see if they feel any different. In the mean time, I have cancelled all my purchases today and will no longer purchase from HSN. With the higher shipping fees, it is just not worth the return trouble and fees if you have to return anything. I will just shop local and not have to deal with this any more.
I recommend that you do call the home office. I had to when I was having trouble getting a refund. I called Rob Solomon’s office then a very nice lady named Colleen called me and she got to the bottom of the situation and refunded my money. Always ask to speak to a supervisor too when you call customer service and have an issue like this I was told. Good Luck and I hope my advice helps.
I already had the shipping for both items waived. I just needed UPS to pick up at the house since this happened when I had back surgery and cannot get the the UPS store. They want 14.00 to pick it up. That is just less than 1.50 of what I paid for it. Where does that leave me? Unhappy.
Hello , I can hear your frustration and disappointment in receiving your order delayed and not in pristine condition. I’m so sorry it failed to become the gift you had expected. I have waived the return s&h fees for both orders, should you choose to return either or both. I hope that you will return to shopping with HSN as we are very willing to please and to assist with any issues you may encounter.
Thanks for the quick response. I am sitting here laughing because I find it odd that HSN finds it odd also!
