HSN Waitlist item should never be billed 4 payment b 4 it is actually shipped.
Hi HSN Customer Service Managers and Representatives:
Please reply to the problem I listed below and thanks.
I use my Visa Debit Bank Card on file with HSN, and I am thinking of ordering today an HSN waitlist item.
Below I copied and pasted what HSN defines as an HSN Waitlist item which is displayed for public reading.
Ordering temporarily out-of-stock items
When your item becomes available, we will automatically send it to you.
If your item doesn’t come back in stock within 45 days, we will cancel your order and contact you via email. Your credit card is only charged if your item is shipped.
“Your credit card is only charged if your item is shipped so now my HSN shopping cart invoice states amount billed today for which I should not be billed today”.
Also in a Bank Debit Visa Card Checking account you have your bank checking account balance listed daily.
You also have your Bank available balance also listed daily.
When you do the math subtracting your available bank balance from your actual Bank balance that difference is what is placed on hold by the Bank regarding items you wish to purchase.
Companies ping the bank to alert them that you are purchasing an item, using your Bank Debit checking account card on file, and Companies need to find out if the $ is in the Visa Bank Card Checking Account checking account to cover the purchase price of the item, so that is what a Bank hold is.
Those bank hold funds should not show up as an actual Visa Bank Card Checking Account Charge Purchase, but in this case they will show up as the actual Visa Bank Card charge, since my HSN shopping card invoice states the following:
Includes first payment, shipping & handling and tax
HSN Customer Service Reps & Managers please reply and explain this dilemma, since this implies fraud and a total contradiction of what HSN states according to their written public display of what HSN waitlist means, which I outlined in detail above.
Thank you and please reply asap before the item that interests me to purchase on wait list sells out.
I only wish to purchase on HSN waitlist if I am not billed and charged a purchase by HSN on my Visa Bank Card today, and only charged on the specific date I see the item has shipped according to HSN’s publicly displayed definition of what HSN waitlist means on HSN.com.

Many thanks for your reply.
I’ll order the HSN waitlisted item and later on check my Visa Bank Checking Account to ensure there is no actual purchase from HSN today for the amount I am not supposed to be billed by HSN until the HSN waitlist item actually ships out to me.
Thanks again Kyle.
@redman1, with our waitlist items, you wouldn’t be charged until the item comes into stock and is shipped to you. The amount showing for the “Today’s Total” would be the amount that is charged upon the item shipping if we’re able to obtain the inventory.
