HSN video has stopped working
Are you guys aware of any problems? It says Chrome no longer recognizes any of the video formats available from HSN. I clicked on your link and Chrome says it does support them.
My cable company doesn’t carry HSN, so the only way I have of viewing HSN in online, if you can’t provide compatible video, I can no longer shop.
I have no problem viewing video from anywhere but HSN.
Can someone please look into this problem?
Update: Found the solution. I was afraid Chrome hadn’t done their automatic Flash update, but they had and I did have the latest version, so Flash wasn’t the issue either.
HSN was insisting that my browser was unable to support any type of video, especially HTML5, which was not true.
This morning when I went to play in the Arcade, still no video and the nasty messages from HSN that my browser was at fault, unable to accept any video formats. Knowing this was absolute nonsense, I went ahead and checked on my ticket count as I always do when playing and noticed that I had been logged off, so I logged back in and VIDEO! Whatever their techs had changed now prevented me from viewing HSN live video unless I was logged into the ARCADE, this even affected the home page “Watch HSN Live” ! and HSN2 Live. So if I want to watch HSN on my computer, I have to log into the ARCADE. Go figure.
I guess there may be other areas of HSN that require log in that can enable video, but I was logged in here and posting and that didn’t effect it. And I’m pretty sure I was logged into the Arcade because I was playing and I was watching tickets.
So, if you lose live video and HSN says it’s your browser, make sure you are logged in places until the video starts. It’s not your browser.
I did report the problem last night, don’t know if the report was ever forwarded to anyone.
So another HSN head scratcher.

I can view HSN in other browsers, but not Chrome. You need to inform your tech group, they must have made some changes in the last couple of hours that are effecting some people. I only use Chrome, so until HSN fixes the problem, I won’t be shopping.
It is the current version.
Sorry to hear you’re having trouble Myra1. I’ve tested them on Chrome and they are all playing normally for me. Please make sure your Chrome is updated fully to the newest version.
