Harvey SURVIVOR, HSN Did NOTHING to Help Me…
I’ve been shopping here for more than 10 years. I buy a LOT. 3 weeks ago I was rescued by a neighbor’s canoe because my house had 3 feet of water in it and I don’t have an attic or way to the roof. No life vests, rapid rushing waters, 2 big dogs and my husband who is 71 and was due for knee replacement surgery that week.
I lost my home and everything in it. I had both vehicles totaled. My husband contracted Staph infection from the water. We’re in FEMA housing now. Two days later, when the water resided, I threw away unopened bags of Elysee, Melissa McCarthy, Clever Carriage, Beats by dr. dre, Deborah Lipmann Oragami, you name it. I called HSN to see if they could credit perhaps the last 30 days of purchases and offered to send pictures and they said no. Finally, they said they would credit me for the last package they mailed, 3 blouses.
HSN SAYS they care about their customers but they don’t. Heartsick and hopeless. Lori
I do feel grateful to be alive. When I called nine-one-one at midnight they told me that there were two thousand boat rescue requests ahead of me.
I couldn’t package those items back up , the water is called level 5 black water, which is sewage water. Even in the plastic, they were in that house with that water for over a day.
It’s just ironic that HSN has a banner saying donate to the Red Cross and yet they’ve got a real person here a real customer asking for some kind of financial credit and they do nothing. Unfortunately the Red Cross website crashed over a week ago so we haven’t been able to get any assistance. However they did come by in a food truck two times and fed us lunch which was awesome.
We have volunteers coming tomorrow to help try and rip up my flooring. I’m a contractor at medical schools and when I don’t work, I don’t get paid, so I virtually have no income.
I know someone at HSN would have compassion enough to help me out even a little bit I just don’t think they’re aware of it although I did talk to a senior supervisor. 🙁
Thank you for the prayers my name is Lori I’m in Houston Texas.
Lizzie is right. Your lives together are the most precious thing. I will pray for you too.
@gypsydog I’m sorry about all your losses. I’m glad HSN at least credited back the last purchase. I wish you had put the damaged things from the last 30 days together and mailed them back to HSN. I’m pretty sure they would have credited you back less the shipping; but I understand the issues of doing that in the face of such a great loss. I’m guessing you don’t have flood insurance that would have helped cover the loss.
I’ll be praying that you and your husband can recover from this and that your husband’s knee replacement surgery is successful, whenever he’s able to have it. Things can be replaced, if necessary, but being able to continue your lives together is much more important. ♥♥
