So I heard that if you try flexpay you may get a credit check to approve for it and so I decided to try to buy something on flexpay but it didn’t approve but it never stated it would run a credit check or anything like that this is what it said,
"FlexPay and Auto-Ship® orders require your authorization to debit your bank account on an installment basis. Please review the automatic withdrawal schedule on this page, check the box above, and submit your order. Access your payment schedule anytime by viewing your order under My Account."
So none of it above says credit approval? I am assuming it was denied because I only use prepaid debit cards as I DO NOT trust putting all my money in the bank (or even a small amount) I keep it in a fingerprint-authorized safe at home along with safety deposit boxes to hold all my other valuables, but I am still confused as to where all the details of flexpay approval or more faqs about this option are?
I looked on the website everywhere to get all the details about what payment options are allowed with flexpay and if in fact you do need a credit check or regular credit cards if there are any other requirements or if it is just random on approval. My question is, "WHERE IS ALL THE INFORMATION AND FAQS ABOUT FLEXPAY ON YOUR HSN WEBSITE?"
Thank you so much for all who can point me in the right direction as I stated before I assume I was denied because of the prepaid card in that case I will always pay in full no problem but would like the faqs please!
While I am sure someone fro HSN will be able to comment on this for you with specifics, I do not believe that HSN or any other shopping channel allows the use of prepaid debit cards for flexible payments — particularly for first-time orders.
Part of the reason is that, unlike bank accounts, prepaid debit cards do not necessarily have to have any sort of identification verification for purchase (you can get them at the gas station), so there is nothing to guarantee that a name or address is valid — unlike a debit card tied to a bank account as banks require and must verify identification.
I am sure you have your own reasons for using prepaid debits, but in most cases, getting a checking account makes much more sense. You can find them with fees that are much less than those associated with the prepaid cards, and you will not run into problems such as this in the future.
