Extra long twin sheets
It sure would be nice to have a 300 to 400 count all cotton extra long twin sheet set or two. They are hard to find. And they are even harder to find for a 14 inch or more mattress. Many couples are now buying beds with movement of the head and feet (like a hospital bed, but much better) and we need those kinds of sheets. I have called about it several times and thought maybe I would post it here and see if others are interested in this size set. extra Long twin sheets are not just for college dorms anymore.
Titusville, Malden Mills does twin XL with 15-inch depth on the Q.
, thanks for posting this suggestion! I’ve let our buyers know that you’d like to see this size offered.
I did that in our son’s rooms and in our room. Found a great Bill Blass pattern that I fell in love with…blue floral…got it and some extra sheets. Covered a round table for a night table, made a few throw pillows…a valance for the ajoining bathroom, and edged some inexpensive hand towels…so it all coordinated. Tie backs for the drapes…and I don’t remember what else…
The boy’s rooms…covered a toybox…made curtains, throw pillows, bed shirts. Covered a memo board…made duvet covers…Give me a sheet…I go nuts. LOL
Great yardage for the money…especially in outlets or on sale.
Good Morning CupaTea i bet they held up better than any you could buy today .They were fun to make .I also remember a time when they were applied to walls with fabric starch for a decorative look.Have a great day nice to talk to you .LOAF.
How are you doing today?
Yes I made curtains with flat bed sheets for my son’s room. I did five windows in his bed room.I used navy blue flat sheets for the panels and used a burgundy and white stripe for the valances. The flat sheets where all cotton. They came out very nice and when time to wash and freshen up they washed nicely. I did not line the curtains because I also had shades on the windows and there was no fading.
Curtains are very easy to make out of sheets only need to fold over the top of the sheet and sew to make the rod pocket.
Hope you have a great day:smileyhappy:
