Downgraded Shipping-Fed up!

Hi , although I don’t have information on your sister’s order, I did check your tracking and see that it is in transit and the schedule delivery date is 12/3. Surepost is a relatively recent program for the most efficient delivery possible for your package and is not a downgrade. I hope you will continue to shop with us in the future.
Seriously? So much whining and complaining over free shipping? Accusing HSN of intentionally downgrading your orders specifically? Seriously?
SurePost saves money. Shipping is expensive. Many retailers now use it (or the FedEx equivalent), including HSN, QVC, Evine, Amazon, etc. It makes sense, and is actually more efficient.
Mail carriers go by every address every day. UPS does not. By handing off smaller packages to a carrier that is already coming by, UPS can handle larger packages. In many cases, if UPS will be in the neighborhood on the day your package arrives, it will go ahead and deliver it rather than hand it off (which is probably what happened to your sister).
Seriously, people. It is time to get over it. It ws not that long ago when people had to wait 6 to 8 weeks for mail order packages arrive. Although many people now insist on instant gratification, there is absolutely nothing that a shopping channel sells that is a matter of life and death, so lighten up.
I agree, I think people are going overboard with complaining about shipping. So your package arrived one day later. I dare say it’s not something that no one can live without that one day.
And yes UPS does change from sure post to delivering it themselves. I’ve had them do it on several occasions. I order everything, and HSN’s shipping is just as fast. You mentioned Amazon, we order from Amazon all of the time and unless you have 2 day shipping because you pay 99.00 per year for prime membership, orders do not get to you in 2 or 3 days. I know. I deal with it all of the time. Usually several days a week. I have packages on the way now that was suppose to be shipped from Amazon the two day shipping and it’s been 3 days and I haven’t gotten them. And some are taking 4 or 5 days. Will I complain? Certainly not! I ordered on cyber Monday and I understand they were very busy.
I had a bunch of craft items that I waited on from HSN for a good while. I did post here several times to see if there was any news on when they would come. I was frustrated because it took so long and some of my orders were canceled. But HSN customer service could not have been nicer to me. I rec’d several very nice emails from CService. And YES I will still order from HSN.
They had a huge warehouse problem that threw them so far behind in shipping, but I believe they did their best.
It’s the Christmas Holidays. Let’s be nice to the people who are helping us with the gifts we are purchasing for our family and friends.
