Dissatified with customer service received
I called yesterday about an electric fireplace that I purchased through HSN last Jan. It stopped working and I wanted to get the manufacturers information that I could not find on my own. This is how our conversion went:
00:00:08 BethL : Dartford Media Electric Fireplace
00:01:17 BethL : I purschased the fireplace last jan and it just stopped working today. How do I access this companies trouble shooting information and warranty info?
00:02:33 Elizabeth : Hi there, Beth!
00:02:54 Elizabeth : I’m sorry the fireplace is not working. I understand your disappointment and I’m happy to look into this for you. Please allow me 2-3 minutes for review.
00:05:44 Elizabeth : I appreciate your patience, Beth. I have located the order but I’m afraid I don’t see contact information for the warranty. I’m doing a bit more research for it now and will be back as quickly as I can.
00:06:18 BethL : ok. thank you
00:07:22 Elizabeth : Thank you for hold. I’m so very sorry, Beth, but I’m unable to locate any contact information for the manufacturer.
00:08:16 BethL : I couldn’t either that is why I contacted HSN where I purchased the product. what am I to do now?
00:09:01 Elizabeth : I do wish I had another suggestion for you, Beth. I don’t have that information available for this fireplace.
00:09:25 BethL : who does hsn buy the fireplaces from?
00:09:37 Elizabeth : We have many different partners we work with.
00:10:18 BethL : someone orders them who would that be?
00:10:54 Elizabeth : I do apologize but I do not have that information available here in customer service. How else may I assist yu?
00:10:56 Elizabeth : you*
00:11:24 BethL : give the information of some one who does know
00:12:04 Elizabeth : If I had the information to share with you, I absolutely would give it to you. We do not have that information available here in customer service. I feel badly that I don’t have any contact information for the manufacturer for you, I wish I did.
00:12:56 BethL : is there someone in a diff dept that you can connect me to?
00:13:11 Elizabeth : I am sorry but I am unable to transfer a chat.
00:13:33 BethL : hoa about a phone number
00:13:36 BethL : how
00:13:59 Elizabeth : You are welcome to call hsn.com Customer Service at 1-800-933-2887 (7 days a week from 8 am – 1 am EST) but they have access to the exact same information that I do.
00:14:28 BethL : thanks for your help
She should have access to who needs to be contacted when further information/help is needed. If she only has access to the same information that I have what help is that??
, I’m very sorry we we weren’t able to offer better assistance for this order.
These are the ingredients of the One soap:
Ingredients: Water, Cocoyl Glucoside (sugar based detergent), Laureth 7 (non-ionic detergent), Cocoamidopropyl Betaine (Plant based lather booster), Cocoamidopropyl Amine Oxide (Plant based lather stabilizer)
This is the LIQUID soap – there seems to be mass confusion.
Just looked, ingredient list is not anywhere on the product page.
I was hoping to purchase this detergent because of an allergy to sulfites and sulfates. Unfortunately, citric acid is one of those sulfite things and even in moderation poses a problem. By the way, I just checked the TS site and there is no list of the entire ingredients. Thank you Carlos for the list. I appreciate your thoughtfulness.
There is one coconut derived cleansing agent which is highly irritating to the skin – sodium lauryl sulfate (all the other coconut derived ones like ammonium lauryl sulfate or sodium laureth sulfate are non-irritating) – so unfortunately, unless I know it doesn’t contain the bad guy, I’ll have to pass on buying it until I get an answer from Nellie’s website.
The ingredients in One Soap are coconut based cleaning agents, anionic and nonionic surfactants including alkyl polyglucosides, tapioca based ethanol, filtered water, fragrance with essential oils, biodegradable preservative, citric acid. I assume the unscented has no essential oil.
Looks like the others posted ingredients for the Laundry Soda.
SODA ASH – (SODIUM CARBONATE) also known as washing soda. In domestic use, it’s used as a water softener during laundry.
SODIUM METASILICATE – A major use is as a builder (a material that enhances or maintains the cleaning efficiency of a surfactant, principally by inactivating water hardness) in soaps and detergents
SODIUM CHLORIDE – Sodium chloride, also known as common salt, table salt, or halite. As well as the familiar uses of salt in cooking, salt is used in many applications, from manufacturing pulp and paper to setting dyes in textiles and fabric, to producing soaps and detergents.
CITRIC ACID – This is a weak organic acid. It serves as an environmentally benign cleaning agent and acts as an antioxidant.
The Detergent is a coconut based (LAURYL) Ethoxylated fatty alcohol. Coconut oil on its own will wash nothing. It is therefore chemically modified so that it becomes surface active and thus performs like a detergent. This commodity is widely used by many detergent manufacturers because it is readily biodegradable, non toxic and mild and efficient. It is also NOT Petroleum based.
Cartheaper, I don’t know all of them but I know its made with natural cleaning ingredients. Key ingredients include coconut oil-based surfactants, sodium carbonate (soda ash), fatty alcohol ethoxylate and sodium chloride.
