Differing addresses on bank charge
I have a question about my most recent purchase on Nov. 25 of DG2 jeans. Being concerned about identity theft, anything unusual about the way something posts to my bank catches my eye. Understand this is still in pending but I wanted clarification on it asap. My order total is 42.79, today there was a charge pending posted Pay Pal HSN (as merchant) with a Florida address for 46.00. Then there was an immediate reversal pending posted Pay Pal CE (as merchant) with a Vista NE address for the 46.00. Then finally the correct amount of 42.79 posted but as Pay Pal CE (as merchant) with the Vista NE address. Even though everything is corrected and appears normal I was confused by the differing merchant and address, since all previous purchases have always posted as HSN with Florida address. I guess I just wanted to make sure this isn’t someone trying to use HSN to hack my account. Any clarification on this is greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your response
HSN_Ryan . I checked the bank this morning and the charge and reversal of the 46.00 has completely dropped off and the correct charge of 42.79 with the HSN/Florida address is the only charge left pending. Everything appears normal but I will keep a extra close watch on my banking account just to be on the safe side. Many thanks to you and the other moderators on this thread, when I have questions or concerns this in the first place I go.
@possum29, I’m sorry but I don’t have any information on this process that would clarify what happened with your payment. I don’t think someone is using us to hack your account in this circumstance. It’s always good to stay on top of your account. Please let me know if you see any unknown charges from HSN.
